The roof top and patios were nice
Paper thin walls, uncomfortable beds, very loud guests, very cold. We requested extra blankets and were told we could not have any. We were given one extra tiny blanket about 1m x 1m. The shared kitchen was gross and the fridge was broken. Water and coffee dispenser were often empty. Wifi genuinely did no work at all.

It was clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean and easily accessible
The wifi was very poor. The room was so noisy from speakers on the street below, pulsing loud from 8 am to 9 or 10 pm. A reading light would have been a small thing to add. The locks on the bedroom were feeble. Just a place to stay until I found somewhere better.

Had all the necessary amenities.
Lots of nice leisure spaces, including great balconies.
Quiet.
Cheap.
The room was the most basic it can be (no charm whatsoever).
The showers and bathroom could’ve been more comfortable (no lock on a shower, bathrooms had little privacy sound wise)

It’s really well located and had a great price for the location.
The facilities are poor and there is no atmosphere- it feels like an ex hospital/school/prison. The rooms are incredibly loud with slamming doors and only one big light which means you wake up whenever anyone comes in.

The location is perfect to explore Oaxaca City, everything is walking distance. The place was clean but the facilities were not up to standards.
They give you a piece of paper to sign when you check-in with all the rules and restrictions at the property. One includes zero, none, impossible to have visitors even when you are staying at a private room.
I could not even have my friend over for coffee at the common areas which I found quite ridiculous. Most of the stuff working the reception are young guys with not much customer service experience and that can be frustrating.

Perfect location specially if you are out and about all day!
It is located in a busy street so there is a lot of noise, it goes down after 10pm but it start early morning. Our window was broken and the room was
Overlooking the main road, maybe if you have the rooms in the back is not as bad.

Location is absolutely perfect (very central), and the room was very spacious. Staff was also extremely friendly and kind, they helped us with taxis. There also is coffee and water available to guests, as well as a co-working space.
Sadly, the room was very noisy and we could hear everything from the road underneath us (I recommend having earplugs). Toilets (shared) were ok. Overall, I would stay again!!

Affordable clean solo rooms, a lot of space, central, clean. Friendly staff. Rooftop. I needed a space for myself to breathe and this was perfect!
Restricted kitchen hours.

The hostel is basic but pleasant:
- The location is great
- Private rooms!
- The hostel is super clean!
- The bathroom is shared but we never had to wait for it when we needed it
- The WiFi is good
- The shower is hot
The beds are very basic, specifically the pillows are very flat and uncomfortable.
As far as I could tell, there is no microwave in the kitchen - though there is a stove and a toaster oven.
Beware there are no fans/AC in the rooms.

Everything was great. A wonderful budget option. Don’t have any fancy expectations. Very Pet friendly with my dog.
No elevator. Had to carry my friends large luggage up to the last floor with no help (my friends fault for overpacking). They need more outlets in the rooms, especially in a double room!

I rated this 10s across the board because of the price. It’s by far the cheapest private room I’ve ever stayed in. The location is great. The staff is nice. The bathrooms are pretty clean. The views from The terrace are lovely. Also extra bonus points because they’re pet friendly!
The rooms need more outlets. There only one outlet and for some reason my charger wouldn’t stay plugged in so I actually couldn’t use it. There a lot of stairs so if you have luggage get ready for a work out.

Great value, beautiful terrace, free coffee, super chill.
As others have mentioned, my private room facing the street was crazily noisy. I guess this is fair considering the location and price, just bring/buy ear plugs!

It was basic but clean, toilets available most of the time. Spacious toilet / shower, and everything very clean. Safe as it not people from outside allowed to come in. Terrace and small gym room where I practiced yoga🤗
Maybe the linen could be newer but it’s clean.

Quite noisy during my stay and not so social. One bathroom with 3rooms have to wait a bit.No hot warm shower during my stay.

The value of this hostel was really good. It is very clean, very large (it feels like it was a school in the past) and well staffed. The balconies, halls, bathrooms, which are aplenty, were all very clean and maintained that way. The staff were all very lovely and kind. I stayed here for 9 days and was able to access everything I had wanted to on my trip to Oaxaca. The location made this very easy. The amenities were great for this price point, I did enjoy the coffee when there was some left and managed to get a few workouts in on the balconies with the dumbbells' on the third floor.
My bed was not comfortable, and neither was the chair in the room but I get it, this is a thrifty stay value proposition so you have to taper your expectation accordingly. I would stay here again if I wanted a clean facility with a good location but if rest and comfort is the priority I would look for another place.

Its location, clean and with a nice staff.

The location next to the zocalo and the enternmaint every evening. The terrasse is great to relax, see the view and wash our clothes. Coffee is on the whole day. The mix of ages of people, the place is super clean.
People who don't know how to close a door in the evening, nobody need to slam them when some are in metal. People who expect the others to clean the dishes after them or taking somebody else food or stealing ustensils. Too bad because the kitchen is great and the dining room huge. People need to respect others. All of that is not the fault of the hostel.

It’s super spacious and clean, shower was nice. Staff are great specially the ladies in the morning, very friendly and always keen on helping. Location is great
It’s a bit spooky at night 😅. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and room looked like a prison.
2.0 / 10.0
Staff is very unfriendly. When asking if the room doesn't have a bathroom, the only thing he could replied was: "this is not a hotel room" and he was gosseping with the cleaning lady about my question.
Also, when I asked for activities or a bar, the guy pretended he didn't understand English.
And when the hotel is almost empty, it doesn't make sense to give me a bed in the most noisy room of the place.

We arrived in hostel 6am, and staff let us in to use common areas. 8am, check in, and give us a room .
The lady at the front desk told us where to take bus to ADO bus station and some other town.
The place is very clean.
Later, let us use the common area after check out till evening.
The kitchen has restricted time to use the stove. Not convenient.
Not enough cutlery in kitchen.

Very bright and clean; lots of space and natural light in common areas. Cheerful decor and attractive cactus gardens.
The supply of hot water was sporadic. Complaints about this were met with stoney indifference. Kitchen equipment was worn out to the point of being downright dangerous: handles coming off pots and pans while in use; not a soup or teaspoon to be found. Kitchen is locked down (literally) 10:00 to noon and 16:00 to 18:00 for no apparent reason.

Excellent for the style of lodging. Huge rooms, huge high ceilings, huge common spaces, huge shared kitchen, huge roof deck for sunrise/sunset, huge shared bathrooms. All tile everywhere, no carpets, bath mats, or blankets, even the towels feel small (but they include towels!). Very good value for what you pay. Very central. Sometimes loud and echoing. Solid wifi in common areas, coffee, and there’s some gym equipment! A great flop!
A bit impersonal… and wet
5.0 / 10.0
.The only advantage is the location.
As an "international youth hostel", their front desk did not speak any English, and the room still smelled of disinfectant when the agreed check-in time came. The common area is large but has no social atmosphere. Visitors are not allowed even in private rooms and the front desk is very rude.
6.0 / 10.0
The staff was super friendly and & the area was safe
The room looked like a prison and there was no warm water in the shower. It was a shared bathroom without any hooks to hang up things. The hostel was at a busy street and there was a sound from every door that was opened or word that was spoken

My single room was perfect. Clean, bed was super comfortable, bathrooms and showers were spotless and right across the hall. Coffee was free and excellent. Plenty of spaces to work remote. Everyone was friendly. Quiet at night. In the heart of the city close to everything. Very inexpensive. Best kept secret in Oaxaca.
Only part that could have been better was spotty WiFi. But I would stay here again in
a heartbeat

Location is perfect! Super close to everything in Centro. There is a 24hour reception so the place felt secure. Everything was always clean and the free coffee and biscuits were great. Also has a nice rooftop area and other terraces to hang.
The hostel is very spread out and there is not much furniture for the amount of space, feels a little odd. It’s very noisy at night and not very sociable - some days we wouldn’t see any other guests.

Good location, free coffee and biscuits, lots of areas to sit and work/relax.
Wifi didn't reach the top floor very well.

Wifi was slow in the room

Great view, lots of good common spaces and a big terrace. It even has a small gym. Hospitable staff, good location. Great price.
Nothing.

Really enjoyed the facilities. Very sunny and a lot of areas to relax or do work. Has a little execising area which I took advantage of. Location is good. Free coffee and drinking water were a nice touch to the stay. Staff were very friendly.

Free cancellation: Booked it because my plans were very fluid and they allowed free cancellation anytime.
Bad WIFI.
Shared bathroom: Upon arrival in Oaxaca, I realized that for the same price, I could have gotten a room with private bathroom elsewhere.
9.0 / 10.0
Lots of space. A dozen common areas including terrace, roof, t.v., computer. Free coffee 24hrs.
Great location, standing above nearby buildings with great views & sound location for the bells. Close to transport to monte Alban, on bus route to 1st class bus terminal. Near the markets
For the price of a bed you can get a room.
I guess there are a lot of stairs.
9.0 / 10.0
Great location, good size room and shared bathrooms (only 3 room to a bathroom), many communal areas including rooftop to relax, great share kitchen facilities, water, coffee and good wifi
showering in early morning water was cool
5.0 / 10.0
Cleaning is good, all shower rooms and restrooms are clean, often saw 4 cleaning ladies working on different floors.
Its safe and quiet( socially, actually the activities spaces facing Main Street are quite noisy), definite different from party theme hostel
you have free hot coffee all the time and sometimes even candies or cookies
facilities need to be upgraded, wall power sockets in individual rooms often failed in loose connection, all plugs you insert drop because of the loose connection, and it is the only one in this room, very uncomfortable as you count on it to charge your phone or computer. I did almost all my charging in the public areas for the first 3 or 4 days, and then I went creative did a rig with a selfie holder to support.
