A good hotel but the spa left a little to be desired

It was a good location, in terms of access to main roads, and being outside the busyness of the centre of Vannes. We explored Vannes via the local bus, and used the hotel as a base for that. The Hotel itself was very modern, well kept, and clean. The rooms were small but well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff were very helpful.

We were a little surprised that the Hotel was located in the middle a very industrial estate, so we arrived wondering if we had come to the right place! The SPA was disappointing, in that it was small, you had to book a slot each day, and with the maximum number of people allowed in at any one time felt crowded, and not that relaxing. That said, the spa facilities were clean, and in good condition.

Worth a visit

We loved the fact it was clean and comfortable. We loved the SPA with the hour free daily. The staff were amazing and multilingual real bonus. Staff helped with recommendations for eating out and even booked the restaurant and travel. The cocktails in the bar were also fab.

The location was not great as no views, the Sauna was out of action and I had to ask for milk, extra coffee and cups! Staff were happy to oblige though.

Not happy at all 😡

The hotel was clean and comfortable

I paid for my 2 nights stay before we got there. And then the day before we arrived they took € 200 deposit which I never authorized. When we got there they said it’s there policy. We would get it back. I left the hotel on Friday morning and I’m still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. 😡 we stayed in loads of different hotels and none did this. Never again will I stay there

Very enjoyable experience.

My Wife enjoyed a relaxing massage in this hotel and would recommend it. Hotel Bar was pleasant and staff were excellent. Good and secure parking. Bed was very comfortable. Good location circa 5Km from Vannes centre and within walking distance of shops such as Decathlon plus several restaurants.

Spartan room poorly serviced

Great bar with helpful staff and reception were good too. Ok bathroom although would have preferred a walk in shower. Close to local commerce, eg supermarket and chain restaurants and parking was excellent.

Under furnished with silly little bedside table, no chairs at all in room only hard stool. Beds were not properly made each morning with mattress toppers half on. We had to remake bed every day! Every day I had to get an extra towel as only one hand towel left in bathroom for two people. On final night we had two hand towels but only one bath towel! Breakfast at 17.50 per person was too expensive for us to try as we don’t eat more than a croissant and coffee which we bought at a local cafe for 4 euros for the two of us. Regret we didn’t move to another hotel after first night. Dreadful view of wooden screen a few feet from our window.

Spa, electric car charging and private car park were good.

Stayed three nights, but the room had not been serviced when we returned late afternoon both days, despite door notice. The excuse was that there were short staffed and had to prioritise vacated rooms first. The room provided little hanging or any storage space if staying more than one night. There was no written information provided re: Hotel policies, places to see, restaurants etc.

Was not expecting a three course meal provided in glass jars and microwaved, really wanted a full dining experience, however it was very tasty, it was explained to us the reason why, apparently this was used all through Covid, but it did make it a little disappointing for us.

I would have no hesitation in booking general again next year.

Breakfast was top class.Hot and cold. Superb presentation. Although location might have been a little distance from the Port, there were really excellent Restaurant choices literally across the road. So you could visit the old town during the day and have excellent restaurant facilities within a short walk.

SPA availability was limited but not a major whinge from us.

Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Superb breakfast. Close to restaurants, all easy walking about 2 minutes. Excellent secure parking.

Tea and coffee making but no milk or powdered milk. But reception did give me mink when I asked. No shampoo or body lotion.

Business hotel outside Vannes

The hotel is clean and modern, it has a bar and a spa. The garage is free for clients. The location is convenient if you are traveling by car. The bed was comfortable.

For a 4 star hotel, it was a disappointment, especially as it is located in a commercial park quite far from the city centre. For the price paid, I expected a much better room and service. I had to ask to change the room as the first one I was given smelled of cigarette smoke. The second one I was given was small and very average. There was no coffee machine, just a kettle. No hair conditioner, no sleepers. No tea cups, only 2 paper cups. Only 1 tea bag and 1 tisane for a room that is for 2 people. No proper space for the luggage. No place to hang long dresses as the safe and tea set are placed at the bottom of the only storage space. No proper desk to work, just a narrow banquette and a small round table. Toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom and has no separate sink.
