We come every year and take two rooms each time. we really like this place.

The rooms are large and comfortable, the beds are very comfortable. and the shower is very roomy and has good pressure.

We arrived after 10pm and the main parking on the square was closed, so we had to park in the streets leaving all our luggage in the car. The room has a huge window but the black out curtain does not cover the space for the curtains so we were woken at 7AM by the light comming in the room. The breakfast is very expensive, for "not much".

Location was excellent! On site restaurant and bar was good and the service was great!

We had a rental car and being unfamiliar with the city, parking was a bit difficult to find. We ended up parking a few blocks away and walked to the hotel. The hotel receptionist was very nice and directed us to a secure underground parking lot that proved to be nice and close.

Wonderful location.

Excellent mid-priced hotel wonderfully located. Windows are new, meaning that you aren't bothered by noise. Fully renovated rooms and comfortable beds. Very small TV.

My main complaint is that the wifi is not secure, meaning that I avoided hooking my computer and phone to it.

Lovely, cosy hotel and restaurant.

We have stayed here perhaps twice, maybe three times before and always enjoy the friendly personnel and the lovely view from our town-facing room. We enjoyed a good meal of Fish and Chips and again, the restaurant and bar staff were very nice.

We had a pleasant room with a balcony overlooking the Square.? The location was excellent with the municipal car park within a hundred yards. We had a light but excellent supper and enjoyed breakfast before leaving the next morning.

Great location overlooking the square. Super spacious room on the fourth floor with an equally spacious bathroom with enormous walk in shower and the toilet in a separate room.

A great hotel.

The staff at Le Lion are always friendly and welcoming and the location is fantastic. I have stayed there several times and will certainly stay again. If you're looking for something which is more special than just a chain hotel then Le Lion is for you. All the family from my teenager to my dad were charmed by this hotel.

Great stopover in central France, we’d definitely return to this hotel.

Fantastic location in the centre of Clermont Ferrand overlooking the main square. The rooms were clean and stylish and the bed was very comfortable.

lulu was brilliant as were all the staff.

the only part of our stay we felt could have been improved was the food. We had two evening meals in the restaurant both meals were average quality. the steak was chewy and served in a pool of oil. the other meal we had was just not very good. it’s a shame because everything else about our stay was fantastic.

Wall was cardboard thin, no intimacy at all Next door happened to be very active neighbors. Disturbing night. Stinky tablecloth to 'clean' the restaurant table, just kill our appetite
