A super and conveniently located hotel, spacious rooms and fabulous breakfast.

A well located hotel in the centre of Clermont Ferrand. Very conveniently, parking is found in the shopping centre underneath, a short walk to the hotel. The breakfast was superb, one of the best we have experienced. The rooms are modern, clean and very spacious. The staff were all very friendly and professional.

Nothing to mention except perhaps some milk in the room with the tea/coffee supplies.

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in to find my large modern and extremely comfortable room at the center of the town. Not only that, the front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

the breakfast was good (usual for Mercure) and the location was excellent!

The room had few electrical and USB sockets, and the position of the TV set was awful! Logging into the wifi was strange, and the front desk said that a new system had been installed in the previous week. (It seemed like a week should have been enough time to work out the kinks.) The front desk person was obviously new, as she seemed fairly clueless about many things and had to keep asking a co-worker how to do things. (We expected more professionalism from Mercure.) I had to find an employee because all of the coffee urns at the breakfast bar had run out of water: they were all hanging out at the front desk.

Very central and very confortabile

Very central. Easy parking. Large room (we had a privilege room) and large bathroom. Nice welcoming: receptionist made choose our room and gave a biscuit to our dog. Nespresso coffee machine in the room and complimentary cold beverages. Highly recomended. We will be back.

I wish I could have stayed longer. Great location - but outstanding rooms, staff and breakfast.

After several hours of driving, I did a search and found this hotel. One of my filters was that it had to have parking, and, at my own fault, I did not look further into this. As such, the 'hotel parking' was a public multi story car park under a large shopping centre. So, I was tired and pretty pissed off at this - however, I should have read the full information. BUT, it wasn't that far away and when we got to the hotel, my mood improved immediately. The staff were amazing, so calm, full of smiles, helpful - it really made a difference to my mood (which was my own fault). Then there was the room - amazing! The best bath I have had in years. I am a bit of a chunk and so finding baths that fit my wide bum are few and far between. I usually make a 'bum dam' where the water behind me doesn't leave the bath. But, this bath was awesome, wide, deep & perfect AND, not only that, but full sized bath towels! Not the small hotel ones that only cover one boob and show off the full cellulite goings on, but a big, soft, full body covering towel. The bed was comfy and the little extras were great and very much appreciated. I thought the room was fantastic and definitely worth the little extra for a privilege room. Then we get to the buffet breakfast. This was outstanding. I have recently lost 30kgs and so try and have small meals - this was close to impossible! There were 8 counters of every breakfast food you could want, not just a traditional continental, but a "full English" with perfect scrambled eggs and hash browns, yoghurts with topping options you didn't know you needed, cold meats, fresh pastries, banana bread, carrot cake, fresh fruits, different breads, fresh juices, every cereal Kellogg's offer (well, nearly all of them), all possible hot drinks, table service for you morning tea - really outstanding breakfast. If you stay here and don't have the breakfast, you are a crazy fool.

I mean, apart from the parking (which wasn't a massive deal breaker) there was nothing I didn't like. The parking is the only reason I didn't give this place a 10. That said, I didn't like that I am now so spoiled with the exceptional breakfast buffet standards, all future hotel buffet breakfasts will now all be a bit shit compared to this glorious morning feast experience.

great staff, great location at a very comfortable hotel

The staff were very friendly and thoughtful. instead of assuming I wanted to speak in English we tried in French then Muriel kindly asked if I wanted to continue in English which allowed us both to practice each other’s languages. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and in a great location.

The only thing I would say is that the bed was a bit too firm so I tossed and turned most of the night. perhaps a mattress topper would soften it a little whilst keeping the integrity of the mattress.
