The booking was cancelled less than 24 hours before my stay. Due to not having access to internet I only found out as I was arriving in Roscoff after a long drive.

Nothing
When we arrived we were met by the disagreeable owner who informed us that the hotel was closed, that he'd informed us of this, and offered no advice, etc. for other lodging. "It's not my problem" was his response.

Nothing, as we could not get in, we arrived at 16:00 and there was no way in, sent 2 text messages and went to a nearby cafe to await an answer but got nothing back. Went back to the hotel and still no sign of life, rang and it went straight to voicemail. We then noticed a sign on the hotel entrance door advising that the hotel had been closed down in September until the security was updated. We waited around al in all for an hour in the rain, had no choice but to go and book into the ibis hotel for the night. Went passed the hotel/restaurant in the evening twice, 19:00 and 20:30 and all was still in darkness
Never got inside to see

The room was clean and comfortable.
To many steep stairs although the staff did move us down to the 1st floor from the 3rd.

The location was excellent
The hotel smelt dreadful. The odour of bins and fish was everywhere even in my room. The mattress was uncomfortable and made it feel like you were being tipped out of bed. The room and especially bathroom felt generally unclean. There were flies everywhere even in the restaurant.

It was central and we had 3 beds which we needed, it had a bathroom. That was it.
The landlady was not very welcoming. The room was quite shabby and worn down. It was not very clean. The stairs to the rooms were also not clean. There were two coffee cups but no facilities to make a hot drink - why have them?

The area the hotel was in.
Unkempt, shabby, needs updating, coffee etc would be nice if included

food was fantastic
The bread shops were closed in the morning so we had to cancel breakfast
The window blinds in bedroom did not work
kettle supplied but no coffee or tea
impossible to adjust temperature of water in shower either freezing cold or boiling hot
the shower cubicle could be cleaner

It was convenient. The bed was comfortable and the room warm.
It was not clear how to access the hotel. No information was provided & we had to walk round the back of the hotel & knock on the fire door.
Breakfast was served from 8-10 and we had to be at the ferry port by 8 - somehow this felt disappointingly deliberate.
There was a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee sachets. I think this is the first time I have stayed anywhere where nothing was provided as a ‘welcome’.

The location was very close to the town centre, the church and the old port. It was also very quiet. The breakfasts and other meals were delicious.
The only thing is that I would have welcomed a lift because I was on the third floor. However the management went out of their way to assist me. And it proved to be excellent exercise for me.

location is great as was the room. I dined in the hotel. It was a superb meal
be nice to have a lift but not likely in a building of that age. Wouldnt stop me booking again

The bonus sea view from the bed, the friendliness, the warm welcome. Everything.
Nothing important.

Good for a couple of nights if travelling to/from Plymouth on Brittany Ferries. Clean sheets. Clean towels. Plenty of hot water.
Typical French. If you're not & have limited French, be prepared for arrogance. As long as you're prepared, Roscoff is fine!

It is in a good location in the centre of Roscoff with a window overlooking the street.
I was able to store my bicycle over night.
Nice breakfast.
The staff were more interested in the restaurant than the hotel guests.
The room was a bit untidy on arrival.

Excellent breakfast, warm croissants and pain au chocolate, bread too. Jam and juice. Fresh.
A touch of black mould in corners of shower could easily be removed. It’s insidious, it creeps up on you, and one must keep a close look out for it! Not disastrous.

The number of stairs to our room. Not good for 80 plus years. Would not have booked this hotel had we known and read it on booking.com.

Good location. Pleasant room.
Was on the 3rd floor..no lift...difficult with heavy case.
Not ideal having to go through restaurant each time. Not the friendliest.
