Lovely views. Excellent service and amenities . Ample parking . Perfect stay !

The guesthouse location could not be better. The tranquility of the countryside -vast meadows, gorgeous horses, cows slowly grazing the grass, the mountain range in front and fresh air-is a sanctuary to your soul. The hostess is a very warm welcoming person. We had a minor issue and she solved it in no time. The house is well preserved with a surprising lot of amenities. After the hike guests can rest on heated waterbeds beds in the guest room or enjoy sauna. There is a small self-service shop inside as well as a big dining room with a coffee machine. The kids have a huge room with toys. The room we had was medium size, very clean with comfortable beds. The parking lot is big and parking is very easy. Sitting very close to the Austrian-German border, the location is excellent for sightseeing/hiking. Though, unfortunately, we had only 2 full days with the weather not the most favourable one, we saw a lot! On the first day we hiked (the hike starts right from the guesthouse, around an hour walk one way) to Hohenschwangau castle, took a bus to the top of the mountain to visit Mary's bridge ( a must see object-the best view of the castle) and the Neuschwanstein castle, walked around the lake Alpsee (90 min) . On the second morning we drove close to Reutte to walk on the suspension bridge (Highline 179), visit the ruins of Ehrenberg Castle and Schlosskopf Fortress and in the afternoon we hiked to Fussen (from the guesthouse go left, take the forest path) visiting the Lech Falls on the way and exploring the beautiful historic part of Fussen. We will be happy to return to this fabulous place.

It was very clean, quiet location, and walking trails to lake.

No A/C, but it did cool off at night to have the windows open.

A lovely traditional guesthouse in the countryside. Lots of thought and care into the communal areas for families and travellers alike. Pet friendly and loads of free parking.

Nothing really but it might be worth mentioning there are only stairs so if you struggle with luggage, maybe request a lower room. We didn’t mind as it was to be expected of the style of property.
