Very enjoyable stay at Hotel Villa Real. One of the top reasons I chose this hotel was the location — it is in a quieter area while still being very accessible to the city centre, making it convenient yet relaxing after a day out.
The room was comfortable overall, although the study table and chair setup was not the most conducive for working for extended hours. Fortunately, I only needed to work for a short period.
I really appreciated having breakfast included. It was lovely starting each morning with fresh ingredients and a good variety of options.
The complimentary minibar was also a pleasant surprise and something we truly enjoyed. It added an extra thoughtful touch to the overall experience.

This hotel is sold at a luxury 5-star price point, but in reality it felt tired, worn and nowhere near true luxury standard. The room and interiors looked dated, with visible wear, poor finishing and generally underwhelming upkeep. For the price charged, this was deeply disappointing.
What makes it worse is Agoda’s handling. I was quoted ***, then actually charged *** via an unfavourable conversion, which made an already overpriced booking even more expensive. I also found the same hotel on Agoda for around *** on the day of check-in.
Very poor value, and Agoda has so far tried to push responsibility elsewhere instead of properly addressing its own pricing issue. Good location, but absolutely not worth the money.
