Simply speaking, this was just a wonderful experience.
The staff (including the owner) were kind and welcoming. The hotel has a cozy, stylish interior and great amenities—in particular, the spa and bar were exquisite. The cuisine was elegant and hearty, the winelist almost overwhelming - in the best way possible.
It is in a wonderful location in the Allgäu Valley, situated in a small quiet village nearby a beautiful lake, and it is not very far from Neuschwanstein Castle and other places to visit.
We enjoyed each and every moment of our stay and plan to visit the hotel again as soon as possible. If you seek a true refuge for two in quiet, welcoming venue, this is the place to go to!
The bathroom could be a bit more spacious.

The pool facilities are amazing, the ambience and the staff friendlyness. The Spa is also great and has multiple options to choose from, either solo or with your partner.
Rooms don't have AC, so in summer or very hot days it can become quite hot in the room, so you may need to leave the terrace door open for a while so the room can cool down.

The spa and food and the crowning jewels of this hotel. Our room was so quiet and peaceful- the quietest hotel room we have ever had. The spa ist absolutely first class. The dinner and breakfast are excellent and with very high quality produce.
The breakfast waitresses were mardy, not like the wonderful dinner service! The standard double rooms have fake wooden walls, chenille and satin fabrics which turned out looking dreadfully tacky.
