Perfect family venue with exceptionally polite service for your Neuschwanstein visit

Aiming for an experience like youre staying with a German family? This is it! The gasthaus features a classic Bavarian style, exceptional customer service, and a perfect location (with parking and a bus pass!) for enjoying the castles and the Alps. With an included, on-demand, traditional breakfast and all encompassing amenities, this place fit our family of 4+dogs needs. Highly recommend!!

Perfect for Road-Trippers and Visits to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles

The host was amazingly kind and gave us some very useful tips about visiting the castles. Thanks to her we were able to go there, sure that we would be able to get in even if Neuschwanstein was sold out (according to the website). We also loved the private parking, the cozy atmosphere, the breakfast, which was ok, the HARIBO gummy bears. Also, the hotel is located just 5/10 minutes maximum (by car) from Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles

We had booked the place last minute without checking its exact location. Once there, we realized it was a bit farther from the Fuessen city center than we had expected. HOWEVER, this did not affect our stay in any way, because we had our car and were able to reach the city center and park there in less than a 4-minute drive.

It was a beautiful experience. Even having had many problems to get there and concerns, the host was at all times very kind to us and was able to help us. Very happy with the warmth of the people who work there!!☺️ The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast very complete and delicius! Super recommended and we would love to come back! 💕

Toddler Approved

Clean. The room smelled fresh. No musty, smoky, bleach or other bad smell. Quaint and roomy. The place looks like the pictures. Our room had a private balcony and plenty of space to lay luggage on the floor and still let our toddler run around. Family friendly room. They provided a folding crib with a thin mattress, flat pillow and blanket. Our toddler wasn't sleeping in a strange place, so we ended up using our own pack-and-play with a blackout cover (we were visiting family later in the same trip, so we happened to bring it along). Family friendly atmosphere. The dining room had a high chair for us, along with kids' plastic plates and flatware. I would bet they have plastic cups, too, but we had brought our own insulated sippy cups. This was a blessing to not worry about breaking fancy glassware like we received at other places. There were some kids toys tucked away around the common areas. The red riding car kept our toddler busy for almost an hour! Traditional German breakfast of brötchen, cheese, meats, sweet and savory spreads, and a few grapes. Coffee or tea was offered. They happily gave us milk for our child.

Evidently old, but definitely worth the price. There were some old stains visible in places. The rod for the shower head mount was cracked, but still usable. However, nothing was even to the point of inconvenience. Priced very reasonably for the area, though, so I can't really complain about looks.

The hotel was almost empty when we stayed there. So the owner of the hotel prepared and served the breakfast, which was ok and plentiful. The room was very clean. It is 5 min drive to the parking area of the famous Neuschwanstein castle. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

The owner is a friendly grandpa who makes the breakfast for you as well, the breakfast is in a nice large dining area and he makes sure you have a good meal at the start of the day. Also he gave me a printed pass that is good for local buses and made the visit to the castles cheaper. Also there was a tiny Ritter Sport chocolate on my table that was nice. I could leave my car in the hotel parking that saved me 10 euros for the parking closer to the castles. The castles are 3 km away on a nice sidewalk through a forest.

The room was not very well lit maybe it is in line with saving energy these days in Germany and I could have used a bigger towel.

Great location close to the Neuschwanstein castle which you can also see from your room. Basic breakfast is included - buns, salami, cheese, butter, jam, nutella, and tea or coffee.

Charming, wonderful, old-fashioned inn

Bei Weirich was so charming, we felt like we'd come to Opa & Oma's home for Christmas! They were so helpful when we had questions, and the rooms were lovely, beds were very comfortable. No complaints. The bonus was that it's a fairy-tale's walk to the Krystal-Therme swim spa. When we come back, we will stay here again.

Great location in the heart of Schwangau, very good value for money

Two rooms with a bathroom were just perfect for us. We were just passing by, but if you want to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle, you will find Bei Weirich perfectly located for this purpose. Breakfast was simple but very tasty, especially the freshly baked rolls :) Owners extremely helpful and hospitable, English speaking. Place with an atmosphere of an old Bavarian guesthouse. Warm beds, hot water, free wifi (working!), stylish restaurant - just what we needed on our trip back home.

Superb

Its located in the village between the two castles and Füseen. Staffs are very kind. Bus stops to the castles and to Füssen train station are less than 2 minutes walk. You can also walk to the castles which takes about 25-30 minutes.

We were there in Winter and the temperature went down to -8 C at night but the heater was not as warm in our room.
