Nice standard hotel in the city.

Nice room, car parking close by, bars and restaurants near by.

Car park cost was £24 for 24rs, it would have been cheaper if by the hour. As with a lot of hotels I visit in UK, the bathroom extractor didn't work (626).

Would stay here again but would find an alternative local restaurant for our evening meal.

Good location in city centre close to main railway station. Staff were excellent and the service at breakfast was impeccable. Room facilities were as advertised and the bathroom/shower was adequate.

I guess nothing can be done about the lifts but they can barely cope with the volume of customers and always meant long waits. The restaurant was very expensive for the quality of the food, which was not unpleasant but was clearly overpriced.

Fab hotel in a great location, can’t fault it!

The staff here were so friendly and helpful. Nas at reception was so lovely! Really welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. What an asset she is!! The room was a great size, two double beds, big walk in shower, and 2 chairs. The breakfast had a really good assortment, so much choice and everything was fresh. No hunting around for a table as you are taken to one by staff. Great location for the city centre, just around the corner, everything is close by. We were here for a gig at the o2 academy and it’s only a short walk away. Really good value for money.

Can’t really fault this hotel, only small thing was the heating was a tad on the loud side, so didn’t want to keep it on all night.. but it soon warmed up, and really easy to use.

Would easily stay here again!

Every single member of staff we spoke to were helpful and friendly. The room was immaculate and the bed was huge and comfortable, great water pressure in the shower. There was everything we needed for our stay, iron, ironing board, mini fridge (which we accidentally left stuff in sorry!), shampoo, conditioner etc and tea/coffee making facilties. Breakfast was superb, the staff we so accommodating and offered to cook me extra vegan items even though there was plenty already on the hot buffet, plus fruit, toast, cereal with soya and oat milk available. We were really impressed with this hotel expecially considering the price we paid for a 2 night stay! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

My only tiny complaint is that there was no decaf tea (in the room or at breakfast although I didnt ask) and no dairy milk alternative in the room. They did a fire alarm test which absolutely scared the life out of both of us but when we went down to reception (we were about to leave to check out anyway) we did see the sign on the desk which we had missed several times walking through!

Comfortable stay in a central part of Birmingham with great service.

I booked an accessible room and it was nice and roomy so that my mobility scooter just tucked away. The bathroom was especially well thought out with a decent shower chair and everything at a useable height for a wheelchair user.

Disappointing

Staff were super friendly especially in the restaurant. Room was clean.

TV didn't have BBC 1 or 2 - very strange. Food in restaurant was cold Called down for room service and no one answered phone Entrance area smells like old peoples' home (not very pleasant welcome!) Decor is dark and depressing. Back to Hyatt for me!

Delightful

The staff in the restaurant were amazing the host Sonia was so attentive and couldn't do enough for everyone. The chef Jo was amazing running back and forth making sure everything was constantly full and everyone had the eggs cooked how they like. She had a smile for everyone. Tas on the bar was so bubbly and chatty.they were all a wonderful team.

Comfortable family stay

Great and a very comfortable stay in the heart of Birmingham, just a short walk away from all of the attractions and with good transport links. Outstanding breakfast with one of the best sourdough bread I've ever had. Very clean and well kept.

The gym needs some more equipment like a bench, barbell and a squat rack with some weights. I couldn't do my basic training with the dumbells provided (only up to 15 kg).

A little disappointed with the hotels booking communication (Not clear on some of their products)

The staff was very friendly

They were not very clear on the half board stay, they ended up charging us more on the dinner with the argument that we were allowed to eat dinner of max £22 per person (we were not communicated both when checking ina and also here on booking.com. The dispute is still on over the extra charges...

Very comfortable stay

Large rooms that have been refurbished well, very large comfortable beds. When we checked in we were given a free room upgrade, the staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and well presented, tea and coffee making facilities, and biscuits, chocolate and water were provided in the room. The bathroom was of a good size and was very clean, there was very good water pressure and ample hot water.

Unfortunately some tall buildings are quite close to the back of the hotel, so the view out of our window was straight into an office. The aircon was very noisy and not particularly effective.

Great.

Staff were terrific. All were warm, friendly and efficient - at reception and in the dining room for breakfast. I idiotically left my car keys in the room after checking out. I only realised when I was on the train back to west Wales. I phoned the hotel and they located them immediately and my brother was able to collect within 20 minutes of my phonecall. Fortunately his train was a little later than mine! Superb service. Thank you.

Shower screen had an ineffective seal and water dripped on to the floor. A fridge would have been welcome in the room!
