Traditional alpine hotel with excellent food and brilliant staff

Fantastic. We already miss it!

Everything. The food, the SPA, the sauna area ( huge), the big swimming pool and relax area, the room, the youth area, the ski bus and most of all the friendly staff from different corners of the world. This is real good value for the money. I would gladly return. Solda is not a big ski system but has enough good slopes for a week. Pay extra to keep a ski deposit during the week in Solda and take the comfortable ski bus back and forward from the hotel every day without having to bring your skies back and forward.

The coffee:) The guests should be served proper coffee in the morning from a proper coffee machine without having to pay extra for it.

Spacious and luxurious

Huge rooms, children playgrounds inside and outside, sunbeds outside, fantastic wellness area and swimming pool, very friendly staff, fridge in the room, cafe on premises, charging stations for cars and bikes, bicycle rental, washing machine and a drier (5 EUR per cycle each), free parking outside and cheap (2.5 EUR per day) underground parking.

No a/c, airing with open windows is a bit noizy. They have great dining room and kitchen facilities, but offer no lunch, just snacks. They assign you a table in the dining area, where you have to sit always, so you have to sit (in our case) in a distant corner in a separate room, although other closer and nicer tables are available. No possibility to skip room cleaning. Light in the bathroom is activated by motion together with noizy fan. So waive your hands every now and then if you chill in the bath tub :)

The staff appears very new. They have great attitude, but the level of service is not (yet) there. Food for dinner is below Italian 4* standard. Breakfast is great except coffee, which is really bad from the machines and staff are not too keen to bring real one from the bar.

Large and clean room with terrasse. Modern and large bathroom with bathtub, shower, bidet. Indoor swimming pool, nice wellness area and garden. Fantastic breakfast buffet with all imaginable choices. Great dinner, but beware of your weight, it is four courses (well, you do not need to eat it all, but how could you resist...). As special service, hotel washes cycling clothes at no extra cost - much welcome for a sports hotel on the foot of Stelvio - and for me as traveller by bike with minimalistic gear. Hotel owners and staff very forthcoming. I will certainly return (not least to climb the Stilfserjoch faster next time). Excellent selection of printmedia online.

COMFORT E GENTILEZZA - E QUALCHE MIGLIORAMENTO OPPORTUNO

Staff gentilissimo e pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta, sia alla reception, sia nel ristorante ed al bar. Molto bella ed ampia la piscina (con orari estesi!) e funzionale la sala fitness. Bella la stanza (junior suite) con grande balcone che si affaccia sul piacevole giardino interno. Garage coperto con un supplemento quasi simbolico. Acqua liscia e frizzante gratuita disponibile tutto il giorno, molto gradita! Ristorazione con luci ed ombre (vedi sotto), ottima la serata con buffet di dolci. Comodissima la posizione in centro al paese.

Il buffet della colazione era un po' monotono e, pur arrivando intorno alle 8.30, alcune cose erano esaurite e non più rifornite. Idem a cena per quanto riguarda il buffet quasi solo di insalate e, purtroppo, qualche volta anche per il pane - alcuni tipi del quale, alla sera, non risultavano freschissimi. Il menu della cena presentava una struttura un po' azzardata, offrendo come "antipasto" in alternativa un primo o un vero antipasto e, successivamente, prima del piatto principale, o una zuppa o uno smoothie di frutta, quest'ultimo a volte troppo dolce per essere consumato a metà pasto. In genere molto buoni, invece, i piatti principali di carne o pesce. Le stanze erano TROPPO riscaldate con temperature non regolabili, abbiamo dovuto spalancare più volte la finestra. Un set cortesia sarebbe stato gradito (come pure l'asciugamano per il bidet!). Quale miglioramento suggeriamo di prevedere un'offerta di pensione a 3/4 (con merenda, molto comoda) purtroppo non risultava fra i servizi (anche se abbiamo visto un gruppo che la consumava...)

Traumhafter Aufenthalt

Ein Haus zum Wohlfühlen! Von den Zimmern über die Bar, den Wellnessbereich, die Liegewiese, Sonnenterasse und den Speisesaal, alles perfekt. Die Küche verdient ein besonderes Lob, einfach köstlich! Auch die Zimmer wurden täglich aufgewaschen, das gibt es nicht oft. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung , wir kommen gerne wieder.
