Expo Hotel Sofia - Free Airport Shuttle

I had a very pleasant experience at Expo Hotel Sofia. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, with easy access to the airport and public transport. The staff were professional, helpful, and friendly, and the overall service was very good. The room was comfortable, and everything was well organized. I would definitely recommend this hotel for both business and leisure stays in Sofia. Thank you for the hospitality!

There were a few minor things that could be improved, but overall the experience was good. The communication regarding the payment and final invoice could have been clearer and more efficient. Apart from that, the stay was pleasant.

The room was spacious, very clean and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and two bottles of water were provided free of charge, which was a nice touch. The location is excellent: the hotel is very close to the airport, only about a 12-minute drive to Terminal 1, and it is right opposite the metro station, which takes you to the city center

The airport shuttle was a big disappointment. A main reason I chose this hotel was that it advertises a free airport shuttle, but that is not what happened. I booked the shuttle through the hotel’s website, and the driver simply never showed up. I waited 40 minutes for nothing and eventually took a taxi at my own expense. At the reception, they confirmed that I had made the booking properly. The receptionist didn’t understand why the driver didn’t come and said she would look into it. Please don’t rely on the shuttle, even though it is promised This is the reason for my lower rating. Otherwise, I would have rated the hotel higher

The shuttle booking system is a mess. Handover wasn’t properly done; we arrived earlier than planned but still in time to book an earlier shuttle which never came. Nobody picked up our calls to the hotel regardless of whether we chose the English or the Bulgarian support language. We ended up booking a taxi. For a hotel that advertises a free shuttle service as a main benefit to book that location, it is unbelievable how this shortage of service was allowed to happen.

Was there for work so location next to IEC centre and metro station to central Sofia was ideal. Large rooms with desk area and decent breakfast. No frills but very much what you would expect for a mid-level business hotel.

Not the prettiest area and next to a busy road so some noise but minor. Water pressure in shower wasn't great. Hairdryer is one of the fixed to wall ones - blows very hot but doesn't dry.
