    1) Location - very centrally located and close to all major attractions, high street, restaurants. 2) Staff - extremely supportive and helpful. Best part of the stay. 3) Breakfast - very good spread but quality wise average 4) Rooms - good size suite (one we had booked), but lacked the vibe and ambience of the 5 star hotel. 5) Rating - certainly not 5 star as stated by booking aggregators, but rather between 3 and 4 star. It's says hotel was refurbished recently, but then corridors carpets were dirty, sides panels broken, etc 6) Value for money - yes, if expectation is set to 3.5 star hotel.

    The location of this Hotel is great. In the very center of everything. With in walking distance from cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Check in was way toooo slow. Lobby was very beautiful. Our executive suite was huge with great views. Room was very big with very comfortable bed and pillows. Shower was huge. Slippers and bath robes were available but only for 3 and our reservation was for 4 people. Extra bed was comfortable but sofa which was turned to bed was extremely uncomfortable. We had to ask to the reception to come and clean the room (unacceptable for such a hotel). After returning to the hotel I have noticed that even though the room was cleaned a piece of paper that was from the 1st day in front of the shower was still there. Staff at reception and restaurant very polite. Breakfast had many many options for every taste. Coffee was terrible and when I tried to order I was said that is available only from the machine. Check out very fast. Overall we had a great time.

    Centrally located to main sightseeing areas, and next to Serdika train station which is convenient. Staff are formal, not overly friendly. Room is neat, but dusty in some areas. Had issues with the curtain and bathroom door not being able to be closed. Maintenance was quickly dispatched which was great. He fixed the curtain, but looked at the bathroom door and said 'big job', then walked off. He never came back to fix it the next day. Had an issue with a double booking being made due to a third party website glitch which resulted in me being charged twice for identical bookings made for the same dates. Had alot of issues trying to get refund from the hotel (who were adamant that they weren't going to refund the duplicate booking charge as it was a 'non-refundable' booking. Yes, I understand what this means - however, I'm appalled that a "five star hotel is so greedy that they chose to keep the small amount (around $210 AUD) for the booking over showing some good will and making an exception when they can clearly see it's been a double booking. Staff kept giving me the runaround eg. see reservation team, they're not working on weekends, talk to the agency instead etc. This will surely cost the hotel more in word of mouth & reviews from myself in future.
