Location, size of the room

The hotel has a VERY good location and is in a historical building where a famous politician and writer lived before. . There is also a good restaurant nearby where you can try food after recipes from the Bulgarian monasteries. The room is very spacy and quite. All in all, it is a charming place on a little hidden street right in the center of Sofia.

While the hotel being a bit worn out is not an issue for me, I had a terrible experience with the shower cabin: one of the glass doors just collapsed when I was standing in there and tried to close the door. I was lucky that I was not injured and managed to get out of the bathroom. I was a bit afraid that I would have to explain myself to the receptionist at 4.00 in the morning - fair enough, he didn't accuse me in breaking it. BUT, on the other hand, he didn't apologize at all. I could have been badly injured. He just said 'OK' and explained about the situation and showed the picture. I still think the hotel is good, but they need to upgrade the shower cabins and their service a bit.

Floor was a little greasy/soap residue and the fridge wasn’t working.

Il personale molto accogliente e gentile , la camera era funzionale per dormire e fare una bella doccia calda o fredda a seconda dei gusti . Non ho avuto nessun problema con l’acqua calda . Il letto era comodo e la vista era molto carina (sul giardino della casa accanto che visto dall’alto faceva vedere tutta la meravigliosa vegetazione) . La vicinanza al centro ha giocato un ruolo essenziale ma anche il ristorante esattamente accanto per le sere dove mi sentivo più stanca . Ottima struttura.

Non valeva assolutamente 84€ a notte (includendo anche la tassa da 1€ a notte che paghi quando arrivi). La stanza era una stanza molto basica . La pulizia era quasi pari a 0 . Ho trovato muffa in bagno , cestini pieni, ragnatele sopra la struttura della scrivania e ovviamente avendo la moquette capisco la difficoltà ma ho camminato con dei calzini bianchi per fare la tratta letto - bagno (<1m) erano già leggermente neri . Questo vuol dire che non viene lavato adeguatamente per una moquette . La porta mi ha spaventato la prima notte poiché rotta ma poi ho capito che anche se non do la mandata di chiusura si attiva solo con chiave elettronica ma dovevo chiudere con forza quando uscivo altrimenti restava aperta. Il filtro dell’aria condizionata mi sembrava abbastanza sporco e poiché sopra al letto non ho potuto usarlo la sera . Durante la notte si sentiva un odore tremendo provenire dagli scarichi del bagno quindi dovevi chiudere la porta prima di andare a letto . Tutte queste sono cose assolutamente risolvibili con un po di spirito di adattamento infatti sono stata molto bene in questo hotel ma lo spirito di adattamento lo ho negli ostelli non negli hotel da 84/85€ a notte (compreso tasse ecc). L’ascensore non era praticamente , nessun problema prendo le scale erano circa 5 rampe che si possono fare senza problemi, ma nei miei 85€ vorrei pagare anche un po dí comfort.
