The spa was excellent.

Difficult to enter/exit the shower. The mattress was very hard.

The electrics in the room were very confusing, we struggled to work out which switch turned on which light.

It wasn’t very clear that we had to go to the opposite building in the hotel to check in.

I liked having the spa near the hotel

The building seems old, the lobby smells weird. The spa is only open from 9am to 6:45 pm. The wifi is bad, and there’s no 4G available

good value for money but noisy location

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast is very well catered for (various food and drink options).

the noise from the bar “Le Mercure” every night (we stayed from Tuesday til Sunday). We couldn’t sleep until 1/1:30 am.

Location: very near the beach and restaurants.

We received an indifferent welcome, by a receptionist, who let us leave our bags in the lobby. However, on checking in, we observed that there was a designated, secure, baggage room, which we were clearly not allowed to use. The WiFi did not work. Further, we suffered the distain of the receptionist when we said we didn't want to book the hotel breakfast. The morning receptionist was lovely, though.

The location was as good, and the breakfast adequate

The photos when booking looked much better than the actual room and hotel . The entrance and hallway, carpets, and decoration were very scruffy and tired .

looks nothing like the photos

disappointed is an understatement. The photos must have been taken 20 years ago. Decor colours the same but carpet filthy, shelves and units had peeling laminate, stayed 4 nights and did not see a cleaner once. no fresh towels, no bins emptied etc. Building work being carried out so no bar etc and only found out on day 3 there was a restaurant in the other hotel as there was no information left in the rooms or in the foyer.

Clean (though needed to book for regular cleans during our stay). Comfortable beds. Ideal location with respect to beach.

Wifi signal often poor, and sometimes unavailable because “maximum capacity”. Noise from cafe across the street a bit loud when having to keep windows open. Bit far from Douarnenez by foot.

The perfect place to be AVOIDED !

Not much at all

We rarely found such a dirty room in a life-time of traveling. Our family room was not cleaned (or not to minimum standards) with complimentary hair from previous customers everywhere, mainly in bathroom, that we had to live with. Finger print of previous guests everywhere ! The fake wooden floor is broken in many locations and left un-repaired. Carpets and paints are very old and smelly. We where scared to handle and grap things around the room due to COVID reasons... On the top of things, the Hotel is very old and tacky and should be seriously renovated. The huge gym just next to our family room was transformed into a messy and extremely dirty storeroom facility with trash all over the place! The breakfast buffet was really bad, incomplete and of poor quality. I doubt we'll give the place a second chance. Disappointed !

Do not trust the pictures !

The hotel had absolutely nothing to do with the pictures that were put on their website. This was a horrendous, run down motel which hasn’t been renovated from the 80s.

Everything was awful - I didn’t even dare to walk barefoot on the carpet. You can get much better value by staying at a bed and breakfast at this price!

Douarnenez has a great beach and port offering wonderful views, absolutely a place worth visiting

location of the hotel was very good at walking distance from beach and center of Douarnenez. The view from the room was good.

It isn't a hotel première classe at all; the rooms are spacious but used and need to be refurbished and the hotel has no living room or terrace were guests could meet or have a drink. In the room there are no extras such as a coffee machine or fridge. Breakfast is rather basic and there was no room service at all; rooms are only being cleaned once at the end of your stay. It was a luxury hotel in the past but not any more

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Close to the beach!

Disappointing breakfast. We had read about fantastic breakfast with a view but it was more like eating in a school restaurant. The very nice pictures on Booking is not really realistic.
