Comfortable stay in a great location

very comfortable modern and clean. nice location

Difficult to locate when arriving by car, Rather corporate, not very cosy. Too much concrete and marble. Although right on the beach, the beach was hard to get to. swimming pool didn’t open before breakfast.

Disappointing

A great spa

Service was very varied. Maria was excellent (thank you), but unfortunately, others were actually quite rude. (We don't appreciate being completely ignored at reception while a receptionist plays with paper clips, for example). Very poor meal in the restaurant, over cooked and dry sole meunière , and again, fairly rude service Bedroom was odd. The toilet is separate from the bathroom with no facility to wash your hands.

Beautiful hotel but location unsuitable if you like nightlife

The hotel was very smart with a lovely reception area and friendly staff. The room was huge with the bed looking over the sea. Our room had a long picture window, with the door open at night you could hear the waves lapping on to the beach which was very restful. The room was clean, modern and tasteful.

The bathroom was huge but the waterfall shower was unusable sadly. The shower wasn’t fully enclosed so nothing to keep the water in so the bathroom flooded. We resorted to using the little hand held shower head, which was a shame. For such a smart hotel, we expected better bars and restaurants in the area, but most seemed a bit run down. There is no bar at the restaurant so we asked about a taxi in to the town centre. We were quoted 30 euros each way which is extortionate for a 3km journey.

We didn’t have breakfast because it was ridiculously expensive. Location good. Restaurant awful. Bar refused us drinks.staff on a break.

Food was poor. Some staff were good. Others disinterested and rude. Receptionist on arrival was excellent. New to the hotel. Room was small but comfortable.outlook appalling.

Disappointing because of the unhappiness among the staff

Our room was large and very comfortable. Great view of the sea

The staff were clearly harassed. One of the receptionists was distinctly unfriendly and offhand. Dinner was a disaster. The main course of Lamb was inedible and looked as if it had been thrown on the plate. It was the first time ever we have had to send food back to the kitchen. It turned out that the two chefs hate each other. Not a happy place!

Location excellent. Good standard. Reception staff excellent. Great views from terrace onto the bay. Good spa facilities.

You need to wear speedos you are not allowed shorts in pool. You need sliders to walk around in the leisure spa. You need to hire a robe. So whilst this is allegedly free with your stay, the hotel will sell you sliders starting at €10, Speedos starting at €30 and a robe hire making it an eye watering swim! Don’t forget to take the correct attire! They do advise on shorts in the pool in fairness but a better list of requirements for the leisure facility would be better.

Generally happy with the location, discovering nice walks but hotel is not 4 star.

The walk along the coast line from the hotel to the Port de Douarnenez. (10km there and back). The small bar across the road.

The shower was not 4 star. The on/off switch did not work correctly and when we asked it to be fixed this was not done. The bathroom towels were small (not 4 star) and did not smell good. The restaurant was disappointing. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our main course, which in the end was not cooked. Had to send it back.

We spent an amazing weekend in Douarnenez. The hotel was quiet and clean. There are a lot of facilities (sauna, hammam). We had a room with a sea view and with a jacuzzi outside (you can go in it even when it rains because it is sheltered). There is a nice bar just in front of the hotel where you can have a drink. The entire personnel was great, always with smiles on their faces which is really enjoyable!

View of the bay lovely, seawater indoor pool just right temperature and did not leave skin dry or itchy. Staff friendly and helpful, and relaxed.

A fantastic hotel with breathtaking views! Get a room with a sea view!

This hotel is exceptional! The facilities available for free were amazing. We were given free access to the spa facilities e.g. pool, jacuzzi, sun loungers etc. And the late check out was an added bonus. The hotel is modern and has lots of options for evening meals.

There was no bar available to get an afternoon drink as it is linked to the restaurant. Also, the restaurant was fully booked, so I would advise booking in when you make your reservation.
