Lovely Traditional Hotel and a Fabulous Breakfast
We loved this hotel. It was quite a traditional hotel, a little bit old fashioned which was lovely. The breakfast was fabulous, the pastries and cakes and jams, made on site. The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was closed on the day of our stay, which was a shame. We went down to the restaurants on the estuary side of Douarnenez and we had a lovely meal with a view.

A traditional French hotel that has seen better days however the restaurant was outstanding.
The evening meal was outstanding. The staff were most efficient and I had no difficulty in returning my entree when It transpired that it contained oysters to which I am extremely allergic.
The bathroom to our bedroom let the hotel down badly. The cover to the shower outflow did not fit and could have caused a bad fall to any user. The shower curtain failed to prevent water from escaping the shower itself. The curtain was the wrong size and continuously stuck to the user.The lavatory seat was so badly fitted that it would not remain upright — something which would annoy all male users. The shower head could not be fixed into a desired position for very long before drooping out of place. This all indicated that cutting corners with cheap substitutes does not impress guests.

it was just a room. No modern comforts
the location was really good the older manager who greeted us and helped us take our bags up many flights of stairs
no internet, no hot water and telephone not working the younger male receptionist who didn’t care about our complaints. it got really hot in the room as it was in the attic

Friendly personell in the morning (breakfast)
Our room (streetside) was extremely noisy and because it smelled badly (insecticides, cleaning fluids?) we had to have the window open. The bed was too small for two people and the mattress had "a hole in the middle" so as a result we had the worst night ever. We are not rich but definitely not poor either so if any body would have informed us about better accommodation in this place we would have gone for it.
