Wake up and smell the coffee

It’s on a beach. You can swim in the sea which is nice. It has a pool but this was closed even in October. The breakfast was good though, especially the almond croissants.

It was a bit weird that the pool was closed. It was warm enough to swim in it in October during our stay. This rule seems arbitrary and pointless. Guests were swimming in it anyway. It also costs €1.50 or something per pod of coffee in the room. Considering how much a room costs, just let guests drink the coffee without charging them the further fee. I’m sure the vast coffers of Mare Hotel can afford this to make guests feel welcome and avoid leaving the bitter taste.

The staff were very friendly, everything clean and tidy, loved the decor being different.

The room was great and we liked the funky lighting, wardrobes etc. It was great having an sea view room. Breakfast was little ordinary, however we are not used to European style breakfast options. The food itself was tasty.

The restaurants were overpriced for what you got.

Superb

This hotel has its very special atmosphere, very enjoyable. Staff, hotel beach and restaurants all make it absolutely unique. But, don't expect banana countries' style all-included hotel. It is true Italian one, you must like the style.

Rails of the stairs are squaking on the second floor.

Not able to book a parking place, which is a must here is you book a room, we were just lucky to have one free parking stop. I would recommend to hotels to reserve parking places for guests of possible.

The furniture in the room are rather old and there is no air conditioner due to the government regulation.

very small rooms, not comfortable and old furniture. Parking not possible to book, I find it very odd if you book a hotel room and the hotel has own parking, why the clients cant get the parking spot reserved. We were just lucky to get one spot as we checked it.

Savona stay

Overall nice hotel. Outside area very nice. Staff at breakfast very nice as was breakfast itself.room fine with lovely view very clean and inviting on arrival.

Only one out of 3 restaurants open when we arrived.in the evening (Off season).it was sushi which we didn't like, nothing round about. We were lucky to have friends nearby who took us in car to town. but driver couldn't have a drink.sat outside for a drink, but cold so asked for heaters to be put on, but there was no gas for the bottles. Gourmet restaurant very expensive.

Perfect Stay By The Sea

This hotel is amazing. I was hesitant because of some other reviews. I thought everything about this hotel was exceptional. The staff is great , facilities wonderful . The view and balcony amazing. The bathtub was fantastic. The desk encouraged me to write in my journal with the sound of the ocean and view. The breakfast was excellent. The first night I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Everything was perfect. I loved this hotel so much and found it very hard to leave.

This has nothing to do with the property- the taxi cabs are some of the most expensive in all the areas of Italy I have traveled so be prepared for that.

It was right on the beach. They had a wonderful pool and bar area outside. The view was lovely. We had a little balcony, which we had wine and nibbles on in the evening.in a standard double room. The breakfast was very good, the staff were very helpful and attentive. They also had free offstreet parking

Mare Hotel has an exceptional Sushi restaurant. The breakfast set up is excellent and there is plenty of good food. The staff was very attentive and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Mare Hotel to our friends.
