Good value hotel close to train station

Hotel has great location, right outside the train station. Family room is very big. Beds are well sized for a family of 4.

The hotel reception is in another building nearby (3mins walk) and was a but difficult to find at night time. The bathroom and toilet are very old and outdated. Parking location is far from Hotel.

It is very well located and the breakfast is good.

But they didn't change the sheets all week, nor did they dust, which is a real nuisance for someone who is allergic to dust.

Entrance was down a grubby alley, pavement outside littered with cigarette ends, we found a beer wrapper behind the curtain, the window looked out onto a brick wall (and more cigarette ends), there were empty drink camps near the front door for several days.

The heating in the room wasn't working. So it was pretty cold in the room, especially at night.

Bathroom smelt of urine when we arrived, someone had locked the safe so we couldn't use it. The check in was at a different hotel which we weren't aware of, although we had good instructions on the parking it didn't mention the check-in location.

Poor processes and descriptions on site

Room was fantastic and hotel is located next to the city centre facilities

The hotel advertised parking at the hotel. It turned out it was 300 mtr away. I stated I had a motorbike and when I arrived at the parking I followed the instructions provided, I could not get a ticket or gain access to the parking. There was no process for a motorbike entering the garage. Staff sorted parking out at the hotel which could have been done when I made my special request. After 45 minutes of trying to sort things out, I arrived to find my room was not in that actual main hotel and was across the road in another building, I had to mess around with full bike gear on in rain taking my luggage across to my accommodation . Not reccomended for motirbike riders. A shame the processes were poor as the room was very nice. If I'd have known of the difficulties I faced i would not have booked there.
