Lovely rural weekend break.

Lovely welcoming hosts but totally unobtrusive, however Sandra asked us to let her know if we needed anything. The annexe is delightful. It has all the bits and bobs necessary, just like you'd have at home, including mice quality body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Nick and Sandra had left an incredibly generous amount of food and drink, far more than we needed. The bed is extremely comfortable and we both slept very well. Parking is easy in the large drive area. The accommodation is just a few miles from Slane and Navan, but a very straightforward drive to both. The area is rural and delightful even though we visited in February, so it's probably much better once Spring has come.

For me personally, there was nothing I didn't like. I guess it might be a bit too rural for people who prefer a shop, pub or café within walking distance.

Comfy, welcoming stay

Lovely quiet location, great hosts. Breakfast goodies drinks and even a bottle of wine. Would highly recommend a stay with Nick and Sandra, she even dropped us off to the wedding venue. Can’t recommend it enough.

This comfy countryside apartment is the perfect place for exploring the Boine Valley

This is a perfect apartment for exploring the Boine Valley in comfort. We loved our stay here, including the many thoughtful touches the owners provided, such as eggs, bread and milk. The bed was super comfortable, and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax in the comfortable living room. The grounds are beautiful and serene: a countryside setting yet super-easy to access beautiful Slane and other sights. The owners were so friendly and helpful!

Absolutely wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful. About 20 minutes from Newgrange, gorgeous country setting. Very comfortable 1 bedroom cottage. Self catering, everything you need, plus lots of extra treats and beer in the fridge. Breakfast items including eggs for you to self catering breakfast. Comfy bed. Wish we could have stayed another night.

Pleasant stay in a rural location

The property is in an out-of-the-way location which we enjoyed at this point in our travels. Owner left us a number of snack and breakfast items which were great. Casual and relaxed spot from which you can access a number of cultural sites in the vicinity.

With the quick orientation to the apartment we did not get how to turn hot water to bathroom and kitchen sinks on, thus lacking hot water for those. Shower hot water runs separately and there was plenty for that. Perhaps a short instruction booklet for apartment details would be helpful.

Delighted with our stay in Nick and Sandra’s aerbnb.

Breakfast was t provided but the host left cereals, bread, butter, eggs, jam , marmalade. Also milk beer and wine in the fridge. Plus snacks, crisps and biscuits.

It was like staying in your own little piece of Irish heaven.

Nick and Sandra's place is like a slice of Heaven, literally. It's peaceful and serene surrounding are so relaxing. We loved the place so much we brought food in for dinner instead of eating out, and wished we had booked for a longer stay. We will most definitely be booking with them again if ever back in Ireland.

We loved everything at Nick and Sandra’s! Spacious, spotless, and very special. Sandra was so warm and welcoming, and there were generous provisions in the kitchen for hungry travelers. Exceptional comfort and attention to detail. Our highest recommendation!

Great cottage, great hosts, convenient location and we highly recommend!

Good communication prior to our arrival. Nick met us as we arrived and showed us the property. Nick and Sandra kindly provided a welcome pack. Ample parking and quiet location. It was approx 5 mins drive into Slane where we found a lovely coffee shop. It suited us as we needed somewhere close to Tankardstown House for a family wedding.

You do need a car as it’s not walking distance to the town (which we didn’t mind), although Nick offered to drop us at the wedding which was extremely kind. I would’ve liked an extra pillow (but that’s personal preference & it’s not a criticism). All in all we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Exceptional!

Everything was perfect. Sandra and Nick couldn’t have gone out of their way anymore than they did from the minute we booked until we left. The little touches from goodies in the fridge to a basket full on the counter really made our stay homily. The place is spotless, cosy and modern. We will definitely be back.

Cosy apartment, wonderful hosts

Nick and Sandra's apartment is lovely and cosy and perfect for a weekend getaway. It's right beside Slane for the concert goers and a short drive from anywhere else you'd like to see around Meath. Sandra was very kind to us from the get-go and made us feel right at home and even had left out a few bits for us to make breakfast and light snacks. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Well, we liked the warm welcome and the comfortable surroundings. Also the fact that there was food and drinks in the fridge, a hamper with a variety of snacks, which we didn't expect. It felt like home from home. We will definitely pass this information on to our friends.

Very comfortable country stay, convenient to Brun na Boinne.

Spacious quarters and very nice hosts. Property rental did not include breakfast, but hosts provided us with everything from orange juice and milk to cereal and croissants!

It was a bit difficult (at least for us) to find, but Nick intercepted our wandering rental car and guided us to the property!

Home away from home - warm and welcoming hosts in the Royal county

great communication with Nick and Sandra from the start. Warm welcome - really comfortable bed. Spotless! Breakfast and other goodies (beer and crisps) left in the kitchen for us. Kitchen well kitted out and lovely garden area outside. We only stayed for a night as were going to a wedding in Slane (Sandra offered to drop us over to it!) but you could easily stay there for longer as a couple as it’s a great base if you wanted to explore Meath and Louth. They really went out of their way for us - when we mentioned in the booking that one of us was gluten and lactose free- gluten free bread was lactose free milk was provided in the very generous breakfast basket. Also lovely waking up to see the cows across the road in the field!

Amazing apartment in the country

Although Nick and Sandra's was a iittle hard to find since it is out in the country, it was a lovely apartment that we enjoyed very much! The kitchen was well-stocked so even though breakfast "wasn't included," we had plenty of options for preparing our own breakfast. Nick and Sandra were quite attentive to making sure they would be available when we arrived and were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the nearby town and found the location and apartment to be very relaxing and comfortable. (You would have a hard time getting there without a car.)

Everything was great! (Although we couldn't figure out how to lock the door when we left)
