Proximity to both train station and walking distance to restaurants, bars, squares etc. Clean room, nice bathroom and toilet. Also appreciated the extra help I received one day. Liked the keyless entry. Would 100% book again.

Overall a decent place to stay

It was a simple room but all the facilities were there. I appreciated free tea and coffee. Overall good place to stay for a short visit. Easy description for how to get in.

The windows were difficult to open and I could not get the TV channels working.

Absolutely fantastic

I really was pleasantly surprised how clean the rooms were very modern and for one a proper smart TV I honestly loved the place if I had to be picky I would say the street carparking is difficult as there isn't many places but for me 10/10 and we will be back next year

Great accommodation

Great location. No key necessary because you can access the room with a code which is great because you don't have to worry about losing it. Airconditioning available as well as blackout curtains that actually block out most of the sunlight. Overall a great accommodation.

The only downside is that it is less accessible for people who are less mobile since there are only narrow stairs and no elevator, but that's honestly just a minor issue.

The lodge has a charming setting, but just a heads-up— two rooms are on the third floor with narrow, steep stairs, which might be challenging for some. Also, sound carries easily, so check-in and check-out times can get a bit noisy.

Not the place for a restful night in Mechelen

- clean rooms - good location (only a few minutes walking to all major sights)

- JGA/Stag groups: the property doesn’t seem to have live in staff, and although we thought we’d be safe booking a property with such a limited number of rooms, we were woken up twice by two different groups coming back in. Once at 01:30 by a group who whistled and chatted for thirty minutes outside our door (the soundproofing is NON EXISTENT) and then again at 02:40 by a group who were staying above us. There is nothing in the info sent before hand and nothing hung up in the corridor asking people to respect quiet hours, meaning a very bad nights sleep. - We were in room 3, and the other room on the floor (2) has a bathroom in the corridor instead of the room. This means that every time someone used the bathroom you heard the door opening and closing, and the beeping pin pad used to let them back in. Better soundproofing is needed for that room!

Think I got the bad room: smelly, lots of mosquitos, and bathroom facilities down the hall. Not comfortable at all. Stayed here before in another room, but that was a good experience.

Superb

Easy Check-In with number code, quick and friendly conversation with hosts before the visit, clean and functional, fridge and water cooker, new and comfortable bathroom. A garage (you have to reserve it) is 200 m away, where the car stays dry and safe. Located near city and train station, but really quiet at night. We had a nice stay.

Friendly, great value and good facilities. Highly recommended!

Great value for money with a good shower, kitchen to prepare meals and a fridge to store food. The bed was comfortable and there was even air conditioning. The couple were super friendly and helpful and even helped me carry my bag up the stairs and let me check in slightly early as the room was ready. A short walk from the station but be prepared to go up stairs to get to your room so probably not suitable for disabled people. Highly recommended.

Comfortable and clean

The rooms are roomy, comfortable and practical, with convenient shelves and electricity plugs. The shower was also very nice. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I also liked the firmness of the mattress.

Not terribly pretty, but it's not really important as I didn't spend a lot of time inside the room. :)

Good rooms close to the centre and station :)

Comfy beds and room is exactly as pictured. Easy check in and out just using a code. Nice clean, large bathroom

The wifi was really bad, they have two accounts but neither of them work well. After connecting multiple times it will finally work and then 5minutes later will just stop working even though it says it’s still connected. Was super annoying and the main reason we didn’t score higher as doing any form of work is impossible. The robes were a nice touch but there was a large brown stain on the front one that it put us off using them.

Comfortable place to stay in a good location

Our host was very helpful. Our room was perfect, with comfortable beds. There was also a fridge included, which was a bonus compared to other places I have stayed. The wifi worked well and there was not much noise other than briefly, when fellow guests made their way either into or out of the property. There was also a shared kitchen which is clearly well-equipped. The location is perfect, very central.

Parking was 15 Euros per day - although our host did ensure that we had a secure space which was also just a short walk from the property, so this is only a small gripe
