Archway Guest House

If you come to the Lake District, you must choose this B&B—it is the best B&B I have ever stayed in! I recommend it to every friend visiting the Lake District. 1. Location: Excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the train station. 2. Environment: Very quiet and extremely comfortable. The room is clean and cozy, the bathroom is large and very clean, and all the facilities are well maintained. 3. The hostess, Anita, is very warm and attentive, making me feel at home. She did her utmost to fulfill every request I made, so I had no worries during my trip here. Last but most importantly, the breakfast here is very generous and delicious. Every dish is carefully prepared by Anita, and it made me look forward to breakfast every day. If I return to the Lake District again, I would not hesitate to choose this place! Thank you, Anita.

Loved the location of this property, very close to the train station, downtown area, and the bus stops. The best, most notable part of our stay was the hospitality from Anita and Denis!! Anita gave us so much information to aid and guide us on our first trip to the Lake District; her recommendations were so helpful! The hosts present you with a menu every day for your breakfast the following morning, with a large variety of tasty and wonderful foods! As Americans, we fear how the UK has a lack of air conditioning, and we were so happy that our room was provided with a large oscillating fan! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and couldn't recommend it more, Anita and Denis truly love what they do, and it made us feel so welcome!!

Nothing bad to say!!

This is a lovely, well-kept property situated well for exploring the gorgeous Lake District. The hosts are warm and friendly, with Anita providing interesting and helpful information about the area and Denis preparing thoughtful and delicious breakfasts. We felt comfortable and well-cared-for here!
