The location was really convenient. Close to Buxton and easy to access different parts of the Peak District for the walking that we wanted to do. Supermarket was a 5 minute drive away and there were places to eat within easy reach. The host gave us lots of information and communication was excellent. The cottage was perfect for us and our 2 teenage boys.
There was nothing that was a major problem. Not a lot of outdoor space but as we were on a short break this didn't matter to us as we were out and about most of the time.

There’s plenty of space and the beds were super super comfy! The host is great and responsive and check in was very easy.
The house could do with a tiny TLC but that’s what you get for old cottages! Beautiful property😊

The cottage was reasonable and for the purpose of my visit the location was good. However, it isn't very near the town centre if you're not a seasoned walker and expect to walk to town within minutes.
Communication with the cottage owner was limited. The mattress in the back bedroom could do with an upgrade as it's a bit lumpy and tired. The microwave is basic and doesn't heat food well. The cottage wasn't ready for check-in on arrival.
