Hôtel La Garenne

Large airy room- comfortable beds, spacious shower room. Easy access from car park for luggage. Near the forest for lovely walks.

We stayed for just one night enroute from Austria to UK - easy access to A4 motorway. Lovely place. Great location next to wooded area for walking dogs. Real mixture of traditional and modern - air con in the room was great with the heat of this summer. Very friendly and personable staff - speaking more than enough English!

We were first offered a room up a flight of stairs, despite the claim that all units were on the ground floor. The bar was officially closed at 4.30ish on a Saturday afternoon. (Both points remedied in fairness, the first fairly quickly, although we had to wait while another room was made up, and the second rather grudgingly. This from a hotel which boasts 4 stars.You had to choose a breakfast from various options on the day before, wait to be seated and wait even longer to be served. Every other hotel in which we have stayed has provided a decent buffet breakfast without any rigmarole.
