Lovely flat. We’d like to stay there again

The location suited us very well, very close to High Street with the wonderful Great Tapestry of Scotland Museum, restaurants and shops. Easy, free parking outside the flat. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans as well as basic cooking and cleaning supplies. Small, comfortably furnished lounge area. All very clean. Very helpful, friendly host.

Access to the flat is via stairs and so it may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties.

As I said the place was freezing and not that clean

The shower

There was no light in lane to the property and there was a lot of stairs my wife has recently had a hip replacement and it was awkward with the stairs and there was a controller for the heating which the instructions said to press the plus button to increase the temperature of the radiators to 19 degrees but not higher than 20 degrees and it did not all ways reach 19 or 20 degrees and the radiators did not heat up perfectly and the property was freezing and if the temperature got higher than 20 degrees were going to have additional charge and if the cleaning staff arrived before we checked out we were going to be charged a call out charge I think we should be given some sort of refund for the inconvenience our friend who stays in Galashiels said she won’t be recommending anybody to this property

Comfortable, clean, compact flat in middle of Galashiels .Good base for exploring Borders attraction

Central location handy for exploring Borders.Comfortable bed.Good Wi Fi and TV. Clean .Milk,tea etc left by host.Good shower and hot water on demand. Had all necessary for a good stay .Paolo's Italian Restaurant worth a visit.

Key broke in lock as tried to enter flat-dealt with quickly by owner. Steep outside stair should be noted for ayone with mobility issues.As it is on a main thoroughfare there was a lot of traffic noise .

Recent stay in Galashiels

Good location, apartment is good for 2 adults and good use of spacing, nicely decorated, peaceful area.

Could do with a draining board in the kitchen worktop, would make washing up easier!

Efficient unit for short stay and daily exercise included!

Location was great. Bed was comfy. 10 minutes walk to Banks Street and less to local attractions. At least 5 really good pubs/restaurants on Banks Street and grocery not more than 12 mins walk. Really good convenience store half a block away.

Be prepared for a hill climb and then stairs up to the flat. We walked from the bus station (interchange) and while we are reasonably fit for 60 somethings :) it was a bit of work. We only stayed for 3 nights and it was fine but we wouldn’t stay for much longer as it is minimally supplied.

cold on arrival and took a while to get heating on (luckily I know how to top up pressure on a combi boiler) but the place is small so warms up quickly, so not a big issue.

dissapointing for what we paid.

living room was cosy enough

The bed was hard as nails and required a new mattress, one bedside light did not work, lamp next to television did not work, no point having a kitchen clock that did not work all for sake of a battery, the garden view was fine if you had a step ladder, dont know what you class as free toiletries nearly empty hand wash, no shower gel,dont know who cleans toilet but a bit of bleach and elbow grease wouldnt come a miss, the tiles in shower needed re grouting it looked grubby.

Fab little flat, definitely my go-to place when I'm working in this area.

The only thing that I can think of is that I would have liked a toaster!

Extremely clean, nicely furnished and in the perfect location. This little flat was exactly what I needed and I'll definitely be staying again. The communication with the owner was pleasant and prompt, and we were even allowed a late checkout at short notice.

Compact flat near our daughter who was studying at Napier University. Lounge and kitchen has everything you need. Easy to walk into town. Owner provides all the basics including milk, tea/coffee etc
