The host really makes the experience. I was given really helpful instructions on how to get to the hostel via bus. He even checked in to be sure I was making it okay. The communication was great. When I arrived he gave me a detailed recommended itinerary of the best way to walk Cinque Terre. This honestly made my whole trip. It was the perfect way to see everything and get the most out of the experience. I'm so grateful!
The building is fantastic in a great location close to the train station. The outdoor area and kitchen are lovely places to hang out. The family style pesto dinner is a great way to socialize and meet people. Definitely recommend this hostel.

The rooms were gorgeous and the beds were very comfortable and private feeling for a hostel. The location is really great and the staff were lovely
It would be good if there was a communal space out of the lobby that had a couch. But they also didn't really have the space as it's a pretty small hostel. But honestly it wasn't a big deal

The hostel is in an excellent location — just a short walk from the train station and close to all the main attractions in La Spezia, Amanda the receptionist was super friendly and gave great tips on how to get around the city and Cinque Terre . I also really appreciated that they let you store your luggage for free after check-out, which is perfect if you want to spend a few more hours exploring before leaving. Highly recommend
No curtains on the beds for privacy.
