Location - en El Centro within easy walking distance of all sorts of places.
It felt dirty; there was really no place to read or study - or visit - except two couches in a dim room with the TV. Breakfast was cornflakes & milk or white bread/toast & margarine. There were five cups and limited flatware or dishes, but the morning coffee was decent. The front desk was rarely manned, so newcomers would ring the doorbell repeatedly and wait.

Discount i was offered
No bedlight, dirty bathrooms and kitchen. The lady in charge of the hotel, very rude, no CS training. Do not accept card and expect you to have change.
The sound of the doors when someone opens/closes the door

The location and that I was alone in the room (just a good luck)
Maybe it was only because I was leaving very soon but the breakfast looked quite sad and unappetising

This hostel was one of the best Ive stayed in so far. It is very family place, Oskar is mazing guy who will help you with everything you need. He really became my friend. People working for hostel are super nice and fun, everything was very clean and rooftop is nice place where to stay and have a few drinks. Kitchen has everything you need and loved the breakfast with yammy bread. The location is very good, right next to the square with beautiful church and many restaurant, cafeterias and shops. I stayed twice and will stay again, if Ill go to Queretaro. Felt like home.

I was there for only one night. Some miscommunication for my late check-in (i booked my reservation quite late so that's understandable). Owner was very friendly and helpful, trying to make my stay as confortable as possible and giving more information about the city. Breakfast included. Basic dorm, some parts of the building need some patching

The hostel is in a good location and has a nice terrace. They leave things out for you to make your own breakfast which is pretty handy.
It's more a hostel for solo travellers/groups not couples.

Oscar the owner is absolutely lovely. Friendly and helpful. Location is brilliant. A couple of minutes walk from cafes and restaurants. Beds are comfortable. Nice terrace area. Breakfast is great. Coffee, bread, cereal, eggs with butter and jam.
Crittle windows carry sound and you can hear everything. I had lost my keys and the manager not the owner took a tone with me and was rolling her eyes when I had asked if they could get in touch with another guest that had left that morning. Was quite rude. Another guest was there to see her reaction. My key was on my bed. I took responsibility for losing it and apologised but it left a bad feeling because of the way she spoke to me. The owner, Oscar was lovely about the situation. The terrace needs to be cleaned. The glass table, floors and furniture are open to the elements and have a build-up of cigarette Ash. The upstairs toilets are tiny. When the manager works the evening, all her friends come by and take over the lounge.
No recycling. Lights are quite dim in certain areas.

I liked that the staff was really helpful and try to support young travelers to enjoy their trips (their offered me to take care of my things after I check-out to visit the downtown without carry all my stuff), also that the rooms and facilities were clean.
I made a late check-in and they confirmed it will be without extra charges after booking's staff called them and when I arrived I payed more. Also I has to pay for rent a towel.

This is a budget hostel and it is acceptable for the price that you pay. The staff is very nice and helpful.
I really appreciated the eggs for breakfast because a lot of hostels are using covid as an excuse to go to nothing but cold cereal.
The kitchen is well stocked with microwave, toaster, toaster over pots and pans.
The area is on a quite street that is close to everything.
There is a nice area to relax in and a nice place on the roof.
I'm dorm room was TINY and very dark. Really needs a light at each bed. Thankfully only 2 of us in a room for 4 as there was only 2 lockers and no room for 4 suitcases.
Not a problem during the dry season, but you have to walk outside in an uncovered area to get to the bathroom. The shower situation is very awkward. You have no choice but to get dressed out in the open, right in front of a door that you can not lock.
They say they have hot water but I'm not sure where they keep it. In 4 days I never found any.

Great breakfast. And during the days I stayed, the hostal had a fun mix of travelers. So I had a good time chatting with them. I recommend going to the terrace at night, cool reunions are improvised.
I couldn't think of anything negative.
