Apartment was spotless and clean. This was the second time we have stayed at the apartment. This time for my son’s 40th birthday.

The hosts are a couple who are very pleasant and accommodating, and who really worked hard to help in every way, however speak no English so language is an issue. It was hard for me to ask questions and to raise issues I had a concern about - and to be clear this is as much about me not speaking Spanish - one issue in particular about the parking attendant who I found thuggish in every way which I will speak to in the what I did not like area below. Ahead of time all communication was in email and in English, which I now understand is the utility of E-translation. And as a generality I found most of the shops and restaurant workers I did business with in Seville as I walked around do not speak English or want to speak English. I had just spent 2 months in the Portugal Algarve where English is really spoken everywhere so Seville was a bit of a shock for me for language. So just a note about that - otherwise as accommodation Triana is great and was a good introduction to Seville for me. The apartment is huge and incredibly well located for exploring by foot. The time of year was really warm so the apartment AC is so wonderful to cool off the interior. I used it everyday, and to be appreciative of the electrical cost for the host, did not leave it on when out. Noise from neighboring apartments for me was a problem when wanting peaceful sleep - I couldn't really express this to my hosts as mentioned due to language - so I don't know how many other residents are full time owners or travelers like me, but my 2nd night there was what I think a young persons party in the apartment above and one of the revelers was a girl/young woman who literally screamed from fun constantly for 4 hours. My experience generally in Seville was that a great many people have NO inside voice everywhere so the apartment shared a lot of conversations is what I can say - which was annoying past 10 PM but it is the culture I accept to be out and about later in the evening.

The apartment is in a building that is attached to several other apartment buildings who all share the underground garage. The garage has no lift to any of the apartments so accessing the common walk square to get to all the buildings is by stairway. If you are not using a car or need a garage then this is no problem. But I was traveling with a lot of luggage and personal belongings in plastic tubs I wanted to easily transport into the apartment, and this was not easy without a direct lift. The garage is secure and accessed by a plastic card presented to a scanner. The garage attendants, 2 middle aged to older men, really water flower boxes and hose off the courtyard and chat all day long in my observation. There was no daily need to interact with them to enter or exit by car. On 2 occasions I did have to interact with them and found them to be the most hostile and thuggish men I have encountered in my 4 month Portugal and Spain travel. The first encounter was I lost my garage card and need to leave for an appointment, and worked to explain this and the attendant was absolutely churlish and refused to open the electric exit - was absolutely berating me and being a thug - clearly exhibiting emotional anger and rage - until I parked my car on the exit ramp and 4 others lined up behind me so he relented and opened - while not of the hosts doing this situation for me means I will never return to this location ever again. The 2nd issue was day of leaving and moving with all my stuff - I moved my vehicle from from dedicated stall to an unused one opposite the stairs for convenience to load up - same angry churlish thuggish man ran screaming at me to move and go back to the assigned stall even as I was clearly in the process of loading my stuff - I asked for 5 minutes and was denied. This employee has anger management issues in my judgment and should never interface with a traveling public - I moved to Hotel Becquer in Seville where all staff were really cordial.
