The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great and extremely close to the local bus stop, which took us to the centre of Lugano. The city tax includes a ticket you can use on public transport.

The only downside for us was the 250CHF deposit, which is not mentioned prior to booking. A 150CHF damage deposit is mentioned in their policies, but not 250. The host mentioned it was because of our dog, but we had already paid a cleaning fee for him. We were subsequently short on money and had to pay out to convert more cash. We then had to wait for this to be returned to us, which was almost immediately to be fair, but by which point we had left Switzerland and were in Italy. We feel this charge should be mentioned, so that travellers can plan appropriately, or ensure they have a credit card to hand.

Good hotel just outside Lugano center. The room was small but the bathroom was large.

Good location a short walk from the lake. Access to the buses and trains via the Ticino pass was a great benefit we used daily. Having a small kitchen in the unit we stayed in was important, and we had access to use laundry machines as well. I appreciate the adjustment to our accommodations made by the staff upon arrival which I will explain.

We were travelling as a family of 6, and needed multiple units. I booked 2 apartments at this property using booking.com, however what was not clear to me when booking was that the 2 units were in separate buildings several hundred meters away from each other. Neither of the units were in the 'main building' which is displayed in the booking listing. In hindsight when looking at some of the pics you can tell its not the same place, but again nothing during the booking process alerted me to the fact we would not be staying in the same location. We certainly did not want our children staying in a completely different building than us in a foreign country. Just realize if you book multiple apartments, this is a possibility and I recommend contacting the property first to see if the apartments are co located or not. However the staff was able to change our accommodations from 2 apartments to 3 hotel rooms all near each other, so I greatly appreciate their flexibility and willingness to change our accommodations. The hotel is right on a main street so you will have street noise, and the walls are thin so one night we heard our neighbors "enjoying themselves" in the middle of the night if you know what I mean. UPDATE 7-31. I noticed the property responded saying that my review "made no sense" saying the buildings were several hundred meters away from each other. I want to re-iterate that what I am saying is accurate. One of the secondary buildings was very close to the main hotel yes, but other unit we rented was down the street a few hundred meters in a different location. We rented the "2 br apartment with terrace" and "studio with lake view". Again we very much appreciated the property changing our reservation entirely so we all stayed in the main hotel, my review was simply to let others know this can happen. I still see nothing on booking.com that indicates the units are not in the same location.
