The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great and extremely close to the local bus stop, which took us to the centre of Lugano. The city tax includes a ticket you can use on public transport.
The only downside for us was the 250CHF deposit, which is not mentioned prior to booking. A 150CHF damage deposit is mentioned in their policies, but not 250. The host mentioned it was because of our dog, but we had already paid a cleaning fee for him. We were subsequently short on money and had to pay out to convert more cash. We then had to wait for this to be returned to us, which was almost immediately to be fair, but by which point we had left Switzerland and were in Italy. We feel this charge should be mentioned, so that travellers can plan appropriately, or ensure they have a credit card to hand.

Good hotel just outside Lugano center. The room was small but the bathroom was large.

Large room with access to a communal balcony. Room had a tiny kitchenette. Bathroom was large, shower was good. There was a place to leave bags while we explored after check out.
We weren’t given any blanket or duvet, only a sheet. This was in October so no longer summer time. We put some clothes on to keep warm in bed.
