Our own luxury apartment; perfect for a graduation

The location to Leeds Uni and Hyde Park, plus it’s an easy walk into town.

A couple of things not working but the staff were quick to fix them.

Very nice building

Stayed in The Leeming, which was a big room with high ceilings in a lovely building.

The communal areas were cluttered with laundry etc making it scruffy looking.

It was spacious, stylishly decorated and had everything you needed for a few days stay. The bathroom was great, the bed was stupendous, the living room was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed.

We parked in the designated spot and our car was absolutely covered in bird poo.

Better value elsewhere.

Location is good for hospital

It’s very cold, only electric heaters and the heater in the hallway didn’t work. The shared hallways were very dirty. The apartment wants you to leave it in a ‘clean’ state otherwise they charge you.

We had a great time in Leeds. A lovely university and city.

It was well equipped, spacious and clean. And had parking onsite.

A map of the area and nearby shops would have been helpful. It took a few hours to warm up. And I didn’t find the towel rail heater so bathroom was chilly.

A place with great potential but in desperate need of some TLC to stop it falling short of the mark

Good location, nice apartment in terms of layout and space. It was a very nice touch to spread rose petals around when they heard we had just got married and were spending our first night as a married couple there.

There was a cracked window. There was a leak that came in and ran down a lightbulb onto the floor. There was significant damp on the bathroom ceiling possibly connected to the aforementioned leak in the hallway. Kitchen tap was very loose. There was an odd whirring noise every 20-30 seconds on the final night of our stay that lasted into the early hours.

The apartment is stunning, lots of space and equipment. If you are staying in Leeds, you must give it a try. The location is great (10 min to the town hall) in a quiet area.

Quiet apartment in need of a refresh

Large 1 bedroom apartment in a nice area. Very quiet. Corner shop very close.

No curtains in bedroom. Floors and bedding weren't very clean. The apartment is tired and worn - furniture scuffed or broken, water marks and damage to walls.

A bit disappointing - not our idea of luxury

The location was pretty good (20 mins walk to centre) and it was useful having a fridge and other kitchen appliances. The bed was quite comfortable so long as you kept away from the mattress join, and the rooms were spacious. Gorgeous light fittings in the living room area. The dedicated parking spot was incredibly useful. The building is appealing from the outside.

The Leeming is advertised as "luxury" but there were a myriad of small things that added together to make our stay disappointing. Needs better attention to detail. The rooms were cold on arrival and took a long while to heat up once we turned on the heaters. The bathroom was cold, which made getting out of the shower a chilly experience. The decor and fittings were shabby round the edges and the rooms were very dark. There were scuffed walls, chipped paint, cobwebby coving, stained sofa cushions and a clock set to the wrong time. The photos on the listing are clearly from a few years ago. There was evidence of previous occupants - e.g. a cotton bud and tissue left in the vanity unit, a kettle that hadn't been emptied or rinsed. The double bed (which we had to strip ourselves due to covid, apparently) had no pillow protectors and seemed to be 2 single mattresses pushed together so there was an uncomfortable line down the middle. And the duvet was too small for the duvet cover. The edges of the rooms and underneath furniture had clearly not seen a duster or vacuum in quite some time. Particularly under the bed, which I discovered when I dropped a hair elastic under the bed and stooped to retrieve it. Bedside lamp was dusty. I don't think you can claim that you want people to strip beds and towels themselves because of covid when other aspects of the housekeeping are lacking and just as likely to pose a risk. The feature fireplace is a nice touch but rattles so loudly you can't enjoy it. There was an odd noise of fast-dripping water outside the bedroom window all night even when it wasn't raining. Gutter problems maybe? There was graffiti on the outside of some windows. A pile of black bin bags and people's laundry bags had been left in the corridor outside our apartment, adding to an unpleasant, damp smell. The reception area (never manned) was littered with old water bottles and needed a good tidy up.

Good

Location was perfect for getting into the city centre, parking was easy, check in and out was simple with clear instructions. Apartment was spacious with plenty of storage, heating worked well, very quiet surrounding area with no noise from any of the other flats in the building.

Some areas in the flat were a bit worn, with decor needing a bit of attention. The curtain rail was coming off the wall in the bedroom which felt a bit dangerous.

An almost perfect stay!

Beautiful Georgian house, apartment well appointed, well organised and good instructions for entrance, general use and check out. Very comfortable bed, and good heating system, warmed up very quickly for such a large apartment.

Too much seating for eating, bigger more comfortable sofa seating would have been better. Kitchen/living room lighting either too dark or too bright, needs middle option. Bigger dishcloth/j-cloth needed plus all purpose spray for cleaning to leave as requested.

Would stay again...

We have stayed before in another apartment. This one was more spread out, toilet separate from bath with shower over and along corridor. I assumed sofa to be a sofabed as last apartment but didn't check before booking. All apartments obviously different layout etc. You strip the bed and open the windows before leaving. We spent very little time in the apartment but it was well furnished and to a high standard. Parking is off the street and it was quiet at night.

The beds are zip link and you can feel the ridge in the middle. Very low standard were the pillows and the quality of these. A coffee pod machine would be a great addition to these properties

A pleasant and relaxing stay!

this is the second time we stay at the Claremont and as usual, the stay was very pleasant. the apartment was more spacious than we thought and spotless when we arrived.

the only thing that would have made our stay better was a few extra rolls of toilet paper. since we booked for nearly a week perhaps a few extra rolls in the drawer in the bathroom would have been good.

Very clean appartment & convenient that towels, toilettries etc were provided & in decent quantities. Great location for what we wanted to do (close to rail station for trips out, & to city centre amenities). Quiet place to stay.

The only thing that would have helped me personally would have been an electric fan in the bedroom as sometimes hot at night.
