The Smeaton at Claremont Apartments

Nice apartment in a good location. Well maintained and quiet

No parking space for apartment allocated.

Location was great for Leeds City Centre and Headingley. Nice big double bed and nice bathroom and shower. Downstairs was small but had everything that we needed for the couple of nights.

No parking at the property for this appartment, but there appeared to be for others. A tiny bit of damp on the ceiling of the living space.

Friendly and welcoming staff who did what they could to make my stay excellent, including organising a late check out which was much appreciated.

This is not a reflection of the apartment - I had neighbours on either side of me for 3 nights who seemed to know each other and had late night get togethers (totally fine and normal!) but they would go from one room to another and let the heavy doors slam which kept me up for 2 nights. This wasnt ideal as I was there for work. I did leave them a note on the second night and they seemed to take more care to close doors. Perhaps the apartment management could add a note to close doors quietly on the upper room as the noise carries very easily.

It was a lovely apartment, in a good location, and was warm and comfortable. It was easy to get the key. There was a big TV.

I didn't like the communication before arrival - they were unclear, ignored some e-mails and although they remained within their rights and our agreement, they were really not at all accommmodating when I misunderstood a message they had sent me. I didn't see anybody else (staff or guest) there the entire time, which felt very weird. They asked me to watch netflix only through the firestick, not through the TV but then there was no firestick. The dishwasher tablets were all gunked up in the bottom of a pot with laundry tabs - bad way to store them. No coffee making equipment there, only instant.
