Funchal Charming Villa

Excellent property with plenty of space, starting with four double bedrooms, all ensuite. Massive social area, a kitchen equipped with everything you could think of, and thoughtful touches everywhere. Nice pool, BBQ area, and a garage off a steep gated driveway which proved really useful. Close to town as well. Jaime was super nice as well.

As several other reviewers have noted, it sits on a busy road and is noisy. Shutting up and switching the AC on almost solves it, but the AC units themselves are noisy too, which isn’t great at night or when you’re trying to sleep. Not cheap, though for that you get a villa worth 1 to 1.5 million euros to yourself, so it depends what you’re after.

The owner came to greet us and was very charming. The villa is spacious and very beautiful. There was a fruit bowl which was very appreciated after our travel to Madeira. The pool was nice with lots of outdoor space. The rooms were nice and spacious.

The pool is next to the road, although we were not visible from the road, it can be loud, though a little music on our speaker and the problem is solved!

The villa was beautiful, modern and very clean. The hosts were super generous leaving us wine and prosecco. The house had all the provisions you would need including swimming towels. We were given a late checkout because they didn’t have guests arriving that day which helped us a lot. They were really communicative and made our stay a breeze!

We stayed here as two families (8 people total), and everything was absolutely perfect. The house is very spacious, with a large living room, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. There are four bedrooms, each with air conditioning and its own private bathroom, which made our stay extremely comfortable. The outdoor area is just as wonderful, featuring a pool, barbecue, and a large table for dining together. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the rooms were well-equipped and very clean. During our one-week stay, a housekeeper came twice to clean and change towels, which we really appreciated. The hosts were excellent—always available and quick to respond. They welcomed us with a bowl of fresh fruit, champagne, and wine, which was a lovely touch. The house also includes a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher—truly everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The location is also great, just a few minutes’ walk from cafés, restaurants, and a bakery, with a bus stop right next to the house. We truly enjoyed our stay and our communication with the hosts, and we hope to come back again.
