FLH Casa Branca Madeira

Amazing view from the terrace. Good location (walking) distance from the centre. Middle of the good restaurants. For a couple the apartment size was just right.

For the price the apartment should be perfect in finish. It had some water damage and not fixed neatly. Sofa looked comfy but quality poor, probably used as beds as well. Pillows quality not really high standard. Terrace beds would have been nice. Sheets, towels and apartment are not cleaned during the stay. But there or no cleaning material (broom ?) either. When staying for a week a bit poor.

Sehr saubere und für uns perfekt gelegene Unterkunft. Professionell geführt, Mariana gibt schnelle Rückmeldung und Infos auf herzliche Art, ohne dass wir extra nachfragen mussten . Das ist nicht selbstverständlich bei manch anderen Unterkünften. Alles hat super funktioniert. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Wir hatten das untere Appartement mit Terrasse abseits der stark frequentierten Estrada Monumental.

Das einzige was wir uns gewünscht hätten wäre eine festere Matratze im Bett . Unsere Rücken hätten sich gefreut.

Spacious and modern apartments. The apartment on the second floor has a wonderful view over the harbour. The building is located within walking distance to the city center. There is also a bus stop right outside. If you need anything, there is very convenient minimarket on the ground floor and a very lovely little bakery, Petit Fours, just a few meters away.

I stayed the first four days in apartment 102 on the first floor, but I was unable to use the terrace. It was very dirty and full of debris from the palm trees above caused by a heavy storm that happened two days before I arrived in Madeira. Even though I sent FLH pictures of the terrace it was not cleaned until after I have moved up to apartment 201. Regarding the check-out time, I was told that I could stay until 12:00. At 11:45 I went down to the basement to take out the trash. When I returned upstairs, to my great shock, I found that I was locked out of the apartment. The company had deactivated my key card. Without my phone or anything else, I had to ask a staff member in the shop downstairs for help. I was left waiting on the street for 30 minutes before someone came to let me back into the apartment. Feels Like Home has not offered any apology for putting me though such a stressful ordeal. I hope I never have to go through a situation like this again. I love Madeira, I have been there numerous times and I am already looking forward to my next visit. One thing is for sure, I will never book with Feels Like Home again.

Our stay at this apartment in Funchal, Madeira, booked through Booking, had its ups and downs. The apartment itself was big and had everything we needed, making it a comfy spot to crash after exploring the city. But, there were some downsides that affected our stay.

The big issue was the crazy noise from the street traffic, even with the windows shut tight. We had to resort to earplugs to get any sleep. Also, it's worth checking if the apartment you're booking has a balcony or terrace. Ours didn't, and we really missed having an outdoor spot, especially in the evenings. Since we were out and about most of the time, the apartment worked okay for us. But if you're looking for a chill place to kick back, this might not be it because of the noise and lack of outdoor space. A balcony would've been perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after a day of island adventures. Overall, the apartment did the job, but the noise and no balcony took away from the experience. If you're after peace and quiet, you might want to look elsewhere.
