Il y a une kitchenette mais il n’est pas fait pour manger ni table ni chaise, même si personnellement nous ne voulions pas y manger. D’autre part pour une semaine un jeu de serviettes est insuffisant.

The area was nice

The sea views wasn’t true they promised ( last picture shows our sea views lol) We found a cockroach in the kichen area :( There was not a single table or parasol on the shared terrace. We had to balance our morning coffees on our laps in the blazing sun, which shone directly onto the terrace even early in the morning. This made sitting outside very uncomfortable. There was also no curtain over the only window, which was the glazed terrace door that also served as the entrance. If we lowered the shutter for privacy, we felt completely shut in. If we raised it, anyone passing could see straight inside. This was particularly uncomfortable because the guest bed was directly in front of the entrance, in full view. The guest bed, which my 74-year-old mother slept on, was appallingly uncomfortable. The foot end had collapsed, leaving her only one position where she could lie across the bed. When she tried to get up, her bottom sank into the bed and the metal frame pressed painfully against her legs. We had to physically help pull her out so she could stand up. This was distressing and completely unacceptable. I would not even let my dog sleep on a bed in that condition, let alone expect a 74-year-old paying guest to use it.

Clean apartment and the area around the small pool. Host was very attentive and contactable by text with quick replies. Entry via key code was very accessible without the need for keys.

Location and postcode can be confusing to taxis.

Personally and objectively mitigated by the SPOT. We booked it because we saw a 9/10. I don’t think it is that high. - The customer support is excellent, as well as the communication for checkin/out and during our stay. No keys, secured. Big plus. - Apartment well equipped, there’s everything you need for cooking. The whole is modern and pretty, very cool! - Good location near Funchal and at the same time outside; near a nice promenade, markets!

- We did not find bed comfortable at all, personally on 9 nights, I did not sleep one night well. Probably the most disappointing, maybe others will find it well. - We found it noisy with for ex a non-stop noise of cars passing through the manhole, reasoning all evening long. That may drive you crazy. - We did not find the accommodation very cheap; true that all Funchal is expensive so that’s just an observation compared to other places. - It is a pity that the pool was not under the sun in the afternoon when back from trips, so we haven’t used it like I thought we would. - The whole flat is like constantly humid, weird but our clothes could not dry; the windows in the morning were wet from humidity, through small windows were open. - The parking is a big plus, though to be frank, park in and leave out is not fun at all as space and the street is tiny of tiny. It is great to have other spaces on the main street just a few steps from the apartment.
