Charming stay near Bruges

The house and the surroundings are absolutely stunning, we liked every aspect of our stay. The rooms are very cozy and charming, and the house overall has great character. It was very clean, well equipped and well kept. Johan, the host, was very receptive and friendly. Our only regret was not staying longer. We totally recommend this property!

We had a pleasant stay at Hoeve De Zuidhoek

Location was lovely, lots of countryside and farm animals around us. The house was spacious and peaceful (apart from a local music festival that was going on during the first weekend)

The bedroom is very dark and could do with a mirror - makeup, full length etc We had a problem with fleas/bed bugs, we were both bitten multiple times - the host did respond quickly to try and address the problem. One of the reasons we took this house is because it said NO dogs, so we assumed the place would be free of dog hairs and possible fleas? but the sofas had dog hairs on them, so the owner obviously has his 2 dogs in this house? This might be partly the cause of the infestation of whatever bugs they were (not mosquitos). I feel the house needs a good deep clean/fumigation - furniture, curtains, rugs, fur cushions, bed mattress, kitchen etc.

Feel like royalty in your own manor!

Property has a massive wow factor. The lounge area with the big fireplace made us feel like royalty! You could easily spend your whole time in the property and feel very chilled, but then again outside is very nice too and bruges is only 15 minutes away by car, Ghent just 30 minutes more.

Property does not have a washing machine so bring enough clothes for your stay. There are also laundromats available in Bruges, not far from the property if you need to use them.

The converted barn is amazing and very big and private.Lovely furnishing and equipped with everything you need. Hosts are very nice and greeted us.

A bit too far from the centre but taxi/Uber not a problem.

Amazing time at this location. The interior was immaculate. The owners were incredibly helpful and lovely (responded to all our queries super fast)! A terrific place was a quiet getaway with beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend and thank you Jonak!

lovely quiet location, but on 15 minutes drive to Bruges or the coast. underfloor heating made the accommodation warm and cosy with no cold spots. two lovely bedrooms at separate ends of the accommodation with en-suite. The photos in the description didn’t let me down. good communications with the owner.

This is only to be super picky- a mirror above the desk or full length mirror in the bedroom above the kitchen.

Excellent accommodation, good size, very comfortable, great condition, warm and cosy, very peaceful area, check in and access was simple. Ideal for a small family/ 2 couples.

You'd need to drive to get access to this, it is around a 15 min drive to the centre of Bruges/The north coast. Not necessarily a negative aspect.

Amazing Place Near Bruges!

Loved the place, decorations, number of bathrooms and the overall "feel" of the place. The hosts were wonderfull! This was an amazing find and if we are back in Bruge, we will stay here again!

A better pillow would be great or additional pillows on the bed. We like to sleep with 2 pillows. Screens on the windows as well as we were there during a heat wave and when we opened the windows, we had some mosquitos come in. Overall the stay was still amazing.

Perfekter Rückzugsort vom täglichen Stress.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ruhige Lage mit gepflegtem Grundstück. Die Dekoration hat gut zum Haus gepasst und hat somit eine gemütliche Atmosphäre gestaltet.

Nichts auszusetzen.
