Excellent location, very spacious bedroom and bathroom with a very large bed with wonderful pillows.
A minor detail but there is no lift (elevator to the second floor) We had no problem, but if you had mobility issues then it is worth mentioning when booking.

Great location, a lot of character in the building, great staff
Sound insulation

Location, simplicity of host, friendliness
The room was too dark. A question of taste, I suppose. I didn’t understand the choice. I didn’t get the choice actually. Room are all different and you don’t have picture of the room you will get.

Extremely tasteful and spacious room. Exquisite shower and beautifully scented toiletries provided. Perfect location, all the best non touristy restaurants and bars/pubs were nearby. Also just a stones throw from the Belfort. The Cade downstairs is really charming and our host was more than accommodating. Extra bonus is the honesty fridge just outside the room door with chocolate, beer and water
You could hear upstairs walking around a lot but it wasn’t that troubling

Location, bathroom.
Could do with an elevator. Beds not changed daily, normally I would expect that for 130e per night.

We stayed in this room during our trip in Brugge. Rik is a very good host. He helped us a lot in everything. He responded to our messages very quickly and gave details. The house is quite clean and quite large .There were shampoo, hair dryer, coffee, extra toilet paper, towels. There is hot water during the day. The house is very safe and the lock system is very strong. The house is in a very safe neighborhood. The house is incredibly central and it is walking distance to everywhere. We did not have to use taxi or public transportation. There is no sound to disturb you at night. WiFi was perfect, The Adrian Coffee was very nice.Thank you very much Rik. We loved your house. We will come back to Brugge again, we will stay at your room again. Please try this house, we highly recommend it to everyone.

Central location, rooms are big and bed is comfortable. hotel seems newly done and advertised pictures are accurate. Parking was convenient in a garage 5 mins walk.
The hotel / rooms get quite noisy. The walls are thin and poorly insulated. We could hear everytime someone came up the stairs or if people on the floor above us moved around in the room. We had a dog so the noise clearly bothered him too.
In the room, there is no door between bedroom and toilet / shower area. Its a walk in situation with no door / no curtains.

Decor was lovely, location was excellent
Bit noisy at night on the Friday, even through the double glazing
Also no extra supplies of coffee even though we stayed for 4 nights and we could have done with the bins being emptied

The room was cosy and functional. Nice interior design. The location was excellent to visit Brugge on foot. The owners were friendly and offered advices on what to visit and where to eat.
The private bathroom didn’t have the door. I looked nice but unpractical while staying with our little daughter.

We loved our stay! Beautiful property in a perfect location -- walkable to everything but on a quiet street away from the energy of the main square. Comfortable space with an excellent, charming cafe on the first floor. The highlight was our gracious hostess, Marie, who ensured we had everything we needed and even gave us recommendations for our next stop in Ghent, her hometown. We will be back!
The bathroom is separated from the sleeping area but there is no door or curtain, so nothing to block light or sound when one person was showering while the other was sleeping. We didn't mind, but others might!

Great room in a very convenient part of town. The free shuttle bus from the train station drops you right on the corner

The location is perfect! Especially as a solo female traveller, the hustle and bustle of Bruges was at the end of the street, the the street itself peaceful enough to sleep well.
The bed was so comfortable and the decor is lovely.

Very centrally located. We arrived just as the cafe downstairs was closing and I initially found the welcome to be a little cold (language barrier?). Room was spacious and very clean . Breakfast available at the cafe on the ground floor.
The dark decor of the room , a little too dark for me. No door on the bathroom and 65 eur cleaning charge for a 1 night stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location, and it's a short walk to the main city square. Brugge is a very walkable city overall, but being so close to the square is a great place to start exploring each day. The room itself is beautiful and well-furnished, and has plenty of big windows (with blackout curtains). It's right above a lovely coffee shop, which is a great first stop in the morning. Room comes with a nespresso machine, multiple glasses, corkscrew/bottle opener, cream, sugar, and stirring spoons. There's also a fan, which came in handy.
The primary thing that I disliked about my stay was the shower. I have never been so stressed taking a shower, because it barely drained at all, so that by the time I was finishing up, there was an inch or more of standing water, where all of my shower things ended up floating around on the floor because there is no shelf to store soaps etc. Multiple times I was afraid that the water was going to get so high it would overflow out the shower door (thankfully this didn't happen). I tried to find the owners to alert them of the problem, but I couldn't find them—probably because I was only at the property in the late evening/early morning. I only stayed for a couple of nights, but if I stayed longer, this would've been a bigger sticking point. Aside from the shower, there were a few odd things. First, the lighting in the room has incredible ambiance, but at night time is very dim, and hard to work or read with just the lamps in the room. There was also no luggage rack, which was unexpectedly annoying. Finally, while this is absolutely NOT the owners' fault, I thought I ought to warn you: I stayed in July, and left the windows cracked open at night to keep the room cool, and ended up getting eaten alive by mosquitos (or some other mystery biting insect) overnight. Learn from my mistake!

The hotel is located in the floors above the coffee shop owned by the same owners. It’s in the heart of Bruges, so easy to walk everywhere to explore the local attractions.
We were a bit surprised by the street noise (we live in the heart of a busy European city). It wasn’t disruptive enough to prevent us from sleeping, but the traffic on the cobbled street was noisier than expected. We also found the room and bathroom a bit dark due to the choice of paint colors, but we’d still stay here again.

I had a gorgeous and well decorated 2nd floor room in this beautiful old building, with lovely natural lighting, wood blinds and blackout curtains for sleeping. The bed/bedding was incredibly comfortable and there were plenty of outlets plus USB ports right next to the bed. Great location close to Grote Markt and very close to a bus stop (or a 20 minute walk to the train station - though I had a rather heavy bag and opted to take the bus). I loved the convenient built-in wardrobe with plenty of hooks and shelves for all my stuff and the awesome Nespresso machine in the room was an added bonus! I appreciated the easy building access via door code and the upright piano in the entryway downstairs was a nice touch. Overall, The Bank is a wonderful spot to stay while in Brugge, though I would suggest a few small upgrades that could make this place a 10.
The room itself was beautiful and the cafe downstairs was absolutely charming and stylish. What I'm a little sad about is that there was a guy on the floor above me working (construction/painting/etc) all day for almost every day that I was there, including on a Saturday when I hoped he would finally take a day off. I arrived in Belgium after a sleepless overnight flight and when I finally made it to The Bank, I was really looking forward to a nice rest before heading out to enjoy Brugge. The construction upstairs was very loud and made it impossible to rest. Not only were the power tools loud and vibrating the ceiling and walls, the guy was watching a TV at a high volume, and since it's an old building, there's little noise-dampening or insulation and I could hear every single word and sound. Sure, one could argue that rooms are meant just for sleeping at night and daytime is for exploring, but I unfortunately wasn't feeling well during my stay so I spent more time in the room than I had planned. I also booked the room specifically because it looked like such a beautiful place and I wanted to enjoy some luxury on my short trip in Brugge. Sadly, it wasn't too relaxing or enjoyable to have the constant noise from above. One other small inconvenience was that the radiators seemed to get super hot and toasty during the day but at night I think they went off, so the room was chilly by the time I returned from my daily adventures. Overall, the place is really lovely. It would have been much nicer without the constant noise. A small fridge would have also been great, the bathroom needs some sort of table or cabinet on which to place toiletries, and something to hold the soap/shampoo while using the shower.

the building is really in the center, very close to the main attractions and was perfect to stop during the day to recharge the energy. there are lots of restaurants and cafes around, a Carrefour express and other services close. the room is new, the douche is amazing and the bed is big and super comfort! Justin and Marie are very fast answering and really helpful!
