Le nid des carmes

The location was exceptional, right in city centre and walking distance to main attractions and to the tram. The place was clean and well taken care of.

The humidity in the room was unbearable. There's a dehumidifier in the room which we used during the day, but it was too noisy to have it on during the night so when we woke up the linen was damp. If you're asthmatic definitely avoid this place! The sofa bed is not comfortable at all, I don't know why they don't put a regular bed as there's space for one. The pillows will also leave you with neck pain all day... The locks on the door were nearly impossible to figure out how to close and open, good luck getting in the room after a couple of drinks! And last but not least, while the place is quiet because is not facing the street, we could hear everything when other neighbours arrived or leave their rooms. It sounded almost like they were with us in our room.

Great location in the busy center of Nantes and yet very quite.

The apartment was clean and comfortable with a sofa bed for which a duvet, pillows and duvet cover/ pillow cases were provided. The street door is a small metal door, which leads into a corridor serving various apartments. The number is clearly displayed above the street door but one cannot gain access until admitted by the host who lives remotely. I arrived at about the time I had suggested but needed to make a couple of telephone calls before reaching the host who arrived after 10 minutes: in all it took about 25 minutes to get in. (I was working during the day so may have missed emails).

The window hinges or lock did not seem to work so I was unable to close the window properly. (I could use the laundry basket to prop the window nearly closed). The apartment was therefore not completely secure during the day. I may not have worked out how to close and lock the window, despite trying several methods for five minutes.

The room was very nice and convy amd value for money

The communication with one of the hosts. I told her we will arive around 19 and at 19:30 she was away, and we had to go and pick the keys from her house that was away from the room rented!
