Reflections - Balcony Views of Poole Harbour

Great location with a lovely harbour view and just a short walk from the town centre. The apartment was well equipped, and the balcony was a fantastic bonus. Overall, a nice apartment in a very convenient spot.

The sofa has a stylish appearance, but the leatherette material makes it quite uncomfortable in use. You tend to slip on the surface, which makes it difficult to sit comfortably for any length of time

We have stayed at a few appartments to the Dolphin Quays complex, and this was as good as the others. The balcony is fine for 2, and has a good of Poole Harbour looking towards Brownsea Island. The property is very comfortable. well furnished, well equipped, and has plenty of space. Location is excellent.

A couple of minor crticisms. On arrival we found the freezer door had not been closed properly and had frozen up, preventing the door from closing (I would assume the property had not been used for the previous few days). We spoke with Quay Holidays, who mange the property, and switched the fridge/freeazer off for the first evening, which sorted the problem out. An inconvenience but QH were available and responsive on the phone. Fabric of balcony table has perished and looks unsightly, but is still serviceable with glass top. A few hooks in the hallway for jackets / coats would be useful.

The flat is warm, light bright and airy. Cleaning is to a very high standard. The functional kitchen is well equipped. Good instructions via an app as to how everything, including heating, is operated - important for a winter let. Wonderful setting on Poole Quay with a cafe, a deli and Tesco Express on street level.

It takes some time to find your way around the apartment complex. I kept getting lost!

The location and views were perfect. It’s a great place for a nice couples holiday. Being disabled we found that it was easy to park up and get to our accommodation via the lifts etc. We found by chance the door from the lift in the accommodation block took us straight out to the lovely restaurants and we tried them all. We didn’t have to go down to reception and then past Tesco and climb up the steps. There is a fitted kitchen with most things you would need to cook your meals and a dishwasher to help you with the dishes. The added bonus of a washing machine means you only need to bring half the clothes you had originally planned to take. We took some love;y boats trips round the harbour and Sandbanks.

We stayed in this unit last year and it was exceptional so we were a bit surprised to find how tired it had become. The sofa isn’t comfortable at all. It looks like it is probably a sofa bed. The balcony furniture has worn and there is now a hole in the rattan of the table. The place hadn’t been cleaned that well and the cleaners clearly aren’t paying attention to detail. We did notify Quay holidays of this straight away and they promised to give it a deep clean after we had gone. But one cleaner got paying attention to detail didn’t spoil our holiday. The car park spaces are very tight. We was going to book again for next year but had been put off by how tired the place had become so have booked another unit in the same block.
