3 Emperors Wharf with Stunning River Views

Fabulous views of the river. The apartment is excellently placed for walking into the city - 5 minutes across the river to the town centre, 10 minutes to Clifford's Tower, 10-15 minutes to the Minster depending on how fast you walk. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable with lots of extras and a lovely welcome treat. The beds were a little soft for us but that is just preference - they were in good condition and comfortable.

It took two attempts to get extra toilet roll but it was resolved without us having to buy any. The bedroom got the morning sun which was great on cool days but was a bit too warm on the last day of our trip when it was a bit hotter. This might make the flat a bit too hot in the warmest days of summer.

Location and apartment excellent From the moment we walked in apartment we loved it. Watching the boats on the river every day and the wildlife . There is everything catered for in this apartment that you would need and more . Information books included. Lovely hot showers and last but not least a great night's sleep in the most comfortable beds . Definitely go back no hesitation. .

Nothing to dislike.

This is a wonderful apartment with everything you'd need for a memorable stay. Everything is comfortable especially the beds. Showers are great with fluffy bath sheet towels. Having the balcony and views of the river is just the best and gives you a real holiday vibe from the get go. It was so relaxing watching the rowers and cruisers going up and down the river. However, I think the best thing has to be the location it is perfect. Within easy walking distance to attractions, restaurants and shops. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family too.

Leaving.

Location, excellent and the balcony offers very restful views over the river. The actual building (entrance foyer, car park etc) are all very well maintained. The flat is generally modern and comfortable and the headline description of 'stunning river views' is correct, but (see below)...

Very poor standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, far below standard expected for "the best that York has to offer". Hob, oven, kettle, toaster - all had signs of not being cleaned at all for weeks, if not months. Toast crumbs on the worktop around the toaster. Kettle encrusted with white deposits around the base and lid. Hob had encrusted deposits all over, and oven clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long while. Grill pan from the oven was encrusted all over with burnt-on, black sooty deposits. Some of the saucepans and lids had loose black crumbs in them. Cutlery, utensils, glasses and crockery were, in many instances, dirty, and were put through the dishwasher before use. Three glass jars had coffee, tea and sugar. The sugar jar had been untouched for so long that the sugar had solidified. The jar also has a hole in it. The tea jar has weeks or months accumulation of tea dust in the base, and also, clearly, has not been cleaned in some while. Spare teabags and sugar were lying around in open bags and boxes at the back of the cupboard. There were other cleaning issues in both the en-suite and bathroom, as well as maintenance issues.
