Cosy, comfortable, convenient and clean!

A nice little getaway

Perfectly located to get into town, the castle and gardens. Equipped with everything needed for a stay along with books, games etc to keep guests entertained.

It was warm and in a nice quiet location.

The stairs could be a problem for anyone using a stick or with slight mobility problems. An additional rail on the wall side could help make them safer.

Great location, close to shops/castle/centre. Easy contact with owner, fast response. All was very clean. Anything we needed was in place.

Perfect for our weekend away

The location was perfect, only a short walk away from Alnwick gardens. The flat was spacious and comfortable and we loved all the little touches the owners put in to make the flat feel like home The furniture was comfortable, plenty places to relax and loads of storage space The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, I was able to cook a full English both mornings no issues The bath was so big and comfortable, I had no issues getting the water hot (you just run the tap slower) The flat is decorated beautifully We'd absolutely stay again, amazing value for money and we loved how spacious the flat is!

The pillows were very flat, we folded the spare quilt up and put it under the pillows which solved the issue We filled the water dispenser but it still didn't really work The neighbour downstairs is sooo noisy, they had their tv blasting till 1am on the 2nd night. Not the owners fault though but just incase anyone with kids stay just to be aware.

Quick getaway

The whole apartment was clean , very spacious and was exactly what we were looking for. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The street is very quiet and the local pub (200 yards away) in which the landlord and regulars made us welcome. It's in a prime location and is only a couple of minutes walk into Alnwick which boasts lots of bars and places to eat. If your out shopping there's something for everyone. Worth a visit to Alnwick castle and the gardens too not forgetting Lilidorie. Would we return to this apartment... 100% without a shadow of doubt

Lovely cosy apartment very close to town. Great communication from the owners and easy to find. Clean and well equipped.

Could really do with a proper shower - the boiler wasn’t powerful enough to generate enough water for a bath and only having a shower head is not ideal. Bathroom was clean and lovely though!

Fantastic hideaway

This hideaway is perfect. Just back from a 2 night stay and I can't fault it in anyway. Was clean and comfortable and we had some mousey weather when we were there and we were more than happy to stay in and relax in this lovely pad . Will definitely be back iff I can find a date that's not already booked lol

Comfortable apartment that came with challenges.

The apartment was very modern and comfortable. Very clean and TV worked. Bed was comfortable and large with lovely bedding.

The bathroom would have been better with a large walk-in shower instead of the large bath and hand held shower wand. Kitchen cutlery could have been better quality. There was no mention of the stairs leading up to the apartment. They were steep, with short treads, and quite treacherous for anyone with difficulty walking. It was very difficult to get luggage, etc. up to the apartment.

Dreadful! a birthday treat totally ruined.

The property was fairly convenient for access to the town. Equipped with very basic facilities.

Approached via a neglected, seedy and potentially hazardous alleyway. The whole stay was marred by the downstairs resident who blasted their TV until the early hours of the morning, their clock chimed every 15 minutes and the noise started again early in the morning. The outlook from the living room and bedroom was over a partially excavated and neglected old school yard. Some of the lounge seating was worn out and not fit for purpose. Other issues too numerous to mention. I did email the owners with my concerns but didn't receive the courtesy of a response.

Hideaway holiday

The flat was lovely. It was very clean and centrally located for the town. The decor was lovely and the flat perfect for our short break. The bathroom and kitchen were modern and the lounge and bedroom were spacious and comfortable.

The only two issues were the noise from the flat below as the person has the television on quite loud and they have a clock which chimes regularly but these are things probably out of the control of the owners. In the bathroom, the shower can be tricky to use.

Cute, cosy, spacious living area. King size bed was perfect size as we have one at home. Property was tucked away which was very pleasant. Appreciated the chocolates as it was my partner’s birthday, would definitely stay here again.

Thick dusty cobwebs in kitchen and living area. Wine glasses had lipstick on them and tea cups were also not washed properly. As its self catering that was a bit more understandable, could do with regular drinks glasses and more than 1 pan.

It definitely has the WOW factor..The apartment is so clean, comfortable and smells so nice.. It is in walking distance to Alnwick Castle and Gardens.. It is now one of my top 3 places I have stayed in..

Superb

This place is an absolute gem! Loved it. So cozy, yet spacious and also clean. Very comfortable bed and good size bathroom and kitchen. Had everything we needed. Location is in a lovely part of Alnwick. Easy walk into town and surrounds. Highly recommended!

Brilliantly located for our purpose. Nicely decorated and was cozy. All the facilities we needed.

Could do with adding a shower curtain and wall hook for the shower head. We all had minor mishaps trying to use the shower head which came out of the holder when the water came on.

The location and cleanliness.

It would have been good to have a shower rail and curtain, the noise from the downstairs apartment, on the first night it went on to 04.30am in the morning. We stayed for 3 nights and although the noise was still loud on the second and third night it didn't go on all night! There isn't a microwave, however we didn't eat in so it didn't effect us too much. Lack of wardrobe space.

Well equipped flat. Everything was of a good standard. Im sorry just one thing spoilt the stay for us.

Im sorry to say the chap under neath kept us awake till the early hours and then you could hear the hall clock chimming the rest of the time. We were told later that the chap was hard of hearing. My other half is also so im used to a certain level . . To top it monday morning was the radio. I thought it was someone else at first . but loading the car realised it came from his flat. Everything else about the flat was brilliant.

Great location and apartment. Very spacious. Hosts responded very quickly.

The man below is very loud and had his tv on throughout the whole night for 3 days straight which was annoying. The water dispenser in the fridge hadn't been cleaned in a long time as the water had black mould in it and also the lid where the water goes in had black mould. Otherwise the apartment was clean. The bed wasn't very comfy but we get bad backs so that could be why.

Perfectly located to the town centre. The property was lovely and clean and well equipped.

No hooks in bathroom, no grabrail in bath. A proper shower would have been nice. The bed settee was unusable, so uncomfortable. There were 3 of us, but only 2 seats at dining table. Draining board for dishes far to small and leak under kitchen sink. Steep stairs up to property. Downstairs tv so loud at all times and their clock chimes every half an hour.

Really liked the flat, could have done without the noise from the neighbour’s TV.

well appointed, clean and with some very thoughtful touches by the owners to help visitors have a good stay. It was very well paced in Alnwick in a quiet area but very close to all amenities. The owners were very helpful in answering all our questions. It’s ideal for 2 people.

poor sound proofing. These are old buildings, so that is perhaps why, but we heard the downstairs neighbour’s TV at all times of day and especially in the evening - it did seem very loud, we even heard it above the TV in the flat. It was a bit relentless. If you’re ok with almost constant noise, then not a problem, but we found it a bit wearisome, so that might put us off going back there. Maybe not much the owners can do, as these are old buildings and perhaps improving sound proofing is difficult.
