It was how I imagined it. Old home with modern amenities. Host could not have been nicer. He went out of his way to drive us to our next location, which he didn’t have to do. Home felt very comfortable.
At one point, someone was playing music in evening, and I put on headphones to have quiet. But to be fair, it was only for a short time. Otherwise, no complaints.

Braemer truly lives up to its billing as a restored Victorian. Our host John was extraordinarily welcoming and accommodating in the best style. Do not stay here if you are looking for modern and flash.

Heritage and old style building
Lots of history and old style charm
Room temperature wasn’t comfortable
No air con or fan in the room
No ensuite in the room (bathroom down hallway)
No facilities in room to make tea or coffee
No water in room
No screen on windows (mozzies in room)
No Tv in room
Not value for money as we’ve stayed in other Hotels in Auckland with better facilities and less money
Owner sent us an invoice so no payment was made through Booking.com and booking still in my listing so I don’t receive any recognition credits for the payment we made to the seperate invoice
We paid $840NZ for 3 nights in a B&B ☹️
