Peaceful stay at the beautiful Hallstatt.

The lady who gave us the key was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the very first moment. There was a small mix-up with our room, and she immediately took care of everything and kindly upgraded us! truly thoughtful service. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and gave us the perfect energy to enjoy magical Hallstatt. The location is ideal, close to Parking P1, allowing you to leave your car and take a pleasant walk while admiring the breathtaking views and cute little shops. We would definitely love to come back.

Everything was just wonderful: the staff, the location, the excellent breakfast, the weather, the nature. As for the cleanliness and housekeeping, everything was very clean and tidy. I have so many positive impressions about everything: the cleanliness, the beauty, the nature, the staff.

When I booked, it was clearly stated that I would be provided about FREE parking space for my car. However, upon checking out, it turned out that I was only guaranteed a parking spot. Yes, I paid for parking, so that's no problem. I think that you should have communicated THIS EXACTLY by booking, more clearly.

Hallstatt is a beautiful town, we would definitely recommend Fenix Hall Boutique Hotel.

The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very spacious with an excellent power shower. The whole accommodation was spotlessly clean. Our room was on the ground floor and very quiet. The hotel is ideally located and only a five minute walk to the centre.

The underfloor heating could not be turned off and as the weather was warm anyway, it did make the room too warm for our liking, however with the windows left wide open it wasn't too much of an issue. We requested the use of an iron, however we were informed that unfortunately a member of staff had taken it home that evening.

Excellent location and excellent room. This property has the best view from the window and parking is just 100 meter away. Also famous tourist spots were just few minutes walk from the hotel.

Enjoying Hallstatt and Sleeping Soundly

The hotel is in a great location and we enjoyed walking out to the water and into town. The owner is a lovely Woman that was happy to help us with any questions or requests that we had. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which we really appreciated since that isn't always the case in European hotels and we were out hiking all day and needed good sleep. Breakfast was also very nice and had a good variety for all the dietary restrictions that we have (one vegetarian and one dairy-free). We didn't stay in town during the day, and it was nice to experience Hallstatt when the bus-loads of other tourists had gone for the day and the town was quiet. Be sure to bring cash, since 90% of businesses are cash-only.

Excellent location to all of Hallstatt --well worth the stay.

WE happened to be in Hallstatt during a heat wave, so air conditioning would have definitely helped sleeping at night. The rooms have been updated and the bathroom is roomy, but the floor gets very wet with the way the shower is laid out.

A lovely stay in the heart of Hallstatt!

The hotel was small and beautiful! it was right in the town and easy walk along to the shops, bars, restaurants, along the lake. The room was lovely, great size, brilliant bathroom, and a fan! which was great for the hot weather. The staff were great :)

Hallstatt Charm

Jacquelyn, the owner, was a warm and welcoming host. We spent quality time with her and she told us all about the property and Hallstatt. She couldn't have been more accommodating. She helped make our visit memorable.

If you need transportation around Hallstatt, it is very limited. Walking is the primary method of seeing the town. If you have mobility issues, just know that taxis are not very prevalent.

Cozy, quiet and comfortable stay

Very quiet place, spacious, very friendly hosts. 3 minute walk to the Salt mine and only 15 minutes walk to the city center. Breakfast was good.

It’s a bit further from the city center, especially if you have to take your luggage- but that should not be an issue as the roads are generally flat in the city.

They have a bar downstairs but it wasn't open (we were here in early May, maybe still the "off season"? There isn't anything real close for evening drinks, you have to walk back into the town (@ 10 min walk)

great spot to stay

Location is great, 20 min walk anywhere in town, 15-20 min away from several beautiful hikes, in the quieter less touristy part of Hallstatt, the room was big and had lots of fun little aspects like a few books, and a tea/coffee station. had internet, staff was nice and let us leave our bags in reception on our departure day so we could enjoy some comfortable time exploring.

Hallstatt is glorious when the sun is out and the scenery from the window is awesome.

So revising my original review at the request of the host who was a very sweet lady, we had a brief chat when she came out to meet us after my much trying to get hold of someone at the front desk for some inquiries I had, including trying to reach them on text @ booking.com which also didnt work. Finally I ran into the chef who was kind enough to call the host and request her to meet me. Anyone is hardly ever there at the front desk. Each guest gets a print of the guidelines, all starting with “regret not there to receive you personally…” Our room was on the second floor, so carrying 22kg suitcase up 2 flights of stairs was not pleasant. Breakfast was ordinary. I inadvertently stepped into the kitchen to draw the attention of the chef. The gentleman who runs the establishment (along with the lady), asked me to step out and put his hands on me while doing so. The host later clarified that it was in the interest of health & safety requirements, no apology was offered. If you drive to the facility, you will be required to park at the public parking and the hosts will give you directions for same, please know it’s a paid parking which we were not told at the time. Also, we stayed two nights and our room was not cleaned the second day. It was a bit of a let down for us after our 3 days spent at Salzburg where the hospitality was fantastic.

We had a beautiful stay at Fenix Hall in Hallstatt. The room was spacious and cosy. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was impressive with freshly cooked eggs upon request. The hotel is located very close to the lake and the funicular.

Just what the doctor recommends!

Let me tell you something about this hotel, I had a tiny heart break when I had to check out, this hotel is what made my trip perfect, from the spacious room, to the toasty temperature at the room, to the spotless bathroom. The bathroom, oh my lord, modern, hip, beautiful with the perfect lighting. Heads-up, you will be addicted to their bed.. i needed a miracle to wake up in the morining. Mrs Jaqueline and Tommy are one of the most helpful, accommodating, tolerant, and wonderful people in the whole town! The breakfast is delicious and their bread is so fresh.

Smart and spacious room. Location is good - close to cable car and straight flat road to town centre.

A clean bin in the room - a wider selection of food at breakfast - meeting staff at reception on arrival considering we arrived at a reasonable time in the afternoon.
