De ontvangst door de host was zeer vriendelijk. Sleuteloverdracht ging zeer vlot. We kregen een rondleiding door het appartement met uitleg over de airco en de apparaten. Handdoeken, vaatdoeken, afwasmiddel, koffie e.d. was ruim voldoende aanwezig en er lagen talloze folders over de omgeving. Het appartement was zeer schoon. Parkeren meestal voor de deur, soms 100 meter verder. Grote supermarkt op 5 minuten rijden. Appartement lag 1 km van de rand van het centrum, normaal goed te lopen (bij 35 graden + namen we de auto, parkeergarages genoeg in Heidelberg)
