Avoid B&B BE accommodation in Brussels and all other locations they may have. Accommodation is POOR

We had to LEAVE the accommodation 2.5hrs after checking in at 4pm. There was NO HEATING. The wall heater (electrical) kept tripping out, making alarm sounds. The portable heater was not working adequately. The room A/C was switched on, with no way of turning that off. So, it was freezing cold outside and inside. I tried to contact B&B BE on the number made available via Bookings.com (+320268112200; +3211260980; +3226456111). None of these contact numbers were useful. They just shunted me from one number to the next. I contacted B&B BE via the WhatsApp site and that was just as useless. The person replying, asked 'were you able to get the heating to work?' I explained the problem, we tried and I am not an electrical engineer. B&B BE response to me was 'so you would rather sleep in the cold instead of solving the problem'. This was at 20:26hrs. Nobody came to sort the problem out and there was no support phone call. We had to find alternative accommodation at Hotel la Dome. MY advice to fellow travellers is to AVOID B&B BE hotel/accommodation in Brussels and anywhere this company runs accommodation. They will take your money, give you sub-standard, ill-equipped accommodation and your complaints will NEVER be addressed. I would like to add the the complaints I raised with Booking.com about B&B BE accommodation also fell on deaf ears. Bookings.com is just as culpable for advertising this place on their platform. This place is NOT for purpose.

Easy location to find and large room.

Large comfortable room with beautiful new looking bathroom. Easy location to find and although we did not have breakfast there seemed to be a nice coffee/tea area. Nice and dark room and quiet

Could do with new towels - all ripped and no hand towels. Apart from that it was great.

No personel. You serve your breakfast to your self All the sataits wasbout off standarts too nerrow. Ot was to diffucult to have the key. Youbhave one code to enter the hotel than you havr other code to open key box. Opening thenkey box was like puzele solving.

Don’t stay here

There is no lift and I was on the third floor the stairs gets narrower and more awkward the higher you go. I had to carry my 20kg suitcase all the way up by myself which was incredibly difficult and not unsafe and I slipped several times. When I was checking out, I asked for help to carry my bag down, but the staff said no. I had to carry it down myself and ended up dropping the suitcase on my toe which was extremely painful. This is very dangerous and future fiesta should be warned about this. Also the shower turned freezing cold half way through my shower. When I told the staff, they just said, "Thanks for letting us know" no apology or follow-up. They didn’t really care about the inconvenience.

Perfect location and excellent accommodation

Perfect location in Brussels; would definitely stay there again and recommend. Great room, very comfortable bed. Lovely kitchen and breakfast facilities. Everything was made easy for us. Lovely square with heaps of cafes, restaurants and access to the metro station within about 100m, making this B&B super convenient. Easy walk to city centre.

That we couldn't stay longer. Just be aware of the steep stairs if you have lots of luggage - this was not a problem for us; its just the norm in lots of places.

Lots of better options than this in the same price range - AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!

Nothing at all, the room was smelly and burning hot with no arrangements for Air Conditioning despite our requests.

It was not livable, looked shady from the outside and had no arrangements for Air Conditioning during a 33 degree weather.

Would stay again but would request the 1st floor.

As we had stayed the week previous the room was the same as the first time, clean, comfortable.

This stay we were on the 3rd floor, at 60 with a heart problem I found it very difficult to get my suitcase to the 3rd floor with the narrow and steep stairs. Partly my problem as having stayed the week before I should have contacted the owners and asked for the 1st floor. I didn’t see a warning about the room access, if there is one but maybe something to say about the access.

Comfortable night after travelling all day.

We like the quirkiness of the location and the rooms we’re comfortable and clean

On this occasion we had the room on the 1st floor, was difficult to get our suitcase to the room as I am 60 with a heart problem but was manageable .

Room was spacious and bathroom facilities were good

No face to face personnel available. Notification a few days prior to arrival that no breakfast was being served anymore. There was cereal, but no milk on our first morning and minimal cutlery/crockery. Had to message to get toilet paper! TV was not working. There were comments about stairs on the description but they are steep and not very wide. Very hard to get a 20kg suitcase up. Beware. Overall not a great experience.

A disappointing stay that unfortunately did not meet our expectations.

Location great for sights. Restaurant area close by. Noisy bar as well. Room large. Somewhere different from the chain hotels and somewhere you will remember.

Business is for sale which probably explains some of the following. Never met owners, so as a guest difficult to leave as friends as there sign says. Breakfast disappointing. Told by app no longer doing breakfast as of beginning 2025 days before stay (booked 2024 - we would have cancelled if advised earlier) then a bare continental service provided. No toaster. After a day+ figured that the coffee machine would not work because it needed emptying. Recommendations on app by owners on places to eat unfortunately came through the day we were leaving. Beware the stairs are steep and narrow so do not book if you have large cases or do not want to manoeuvre them up. A disappointing stay as the business had/ has so much potential. Not recommended at this time and based on our stay.

I wouldn’t stay here again

It was close enough to walk to Grand Place.

I didn’t like that there was no live person to talk to or ask questions. When we dropped our luggage off before our room was ready, we weren’t confident that it would be safe. I read that the stairs were steep but I wasn’t prepared for the actual crazy climb! It was extremely difficult with 20 kg suitcases.

Ideal choice for a long weekend

Perfect location to explore the city and it was clean and comfortable. The staircase to the rooms is very steep and narrow and there is nobody on site to ask questions. 2 emails and 1 phone call were never replied to!

Fabulous, quiet, friendly

Everything, host is a lovely man, breakfast was delicious, rooms were large and very comfortable. It’s quiet, cozy, and literally minutes walk away from grand place, and several other attractions, couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else in Brussels.

Stairs could be a pain if you pack your suitcase like you’re never going home. Literally nothing else, it’s wonderful.

An absolutely perfect stay. Starting from the location (quiet side street, perfect if you are visiting the xmas markets) and the information provided by the host (very precise and polite). The room was great, it had an electric fireplace and floor heating. The shower spacious. Lots of storage, a mini fridge, both a kettle and a coffee machine. Breakfast was very cozy, with an ample selection of fresh bakery items, jams and cheese. A pity we only stayed for one night! Good to know, there are only 3 rooms so the breakfast area does not get crowded. And be mindful of the very narrow stairs :)

A relaxing and very enjoyable stay - home from home!!

It was perfectly located for the Christmas markets. A real hidden gem. The room was a great size as central city accommodation goes. The gentleman who served breakfast was very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The room was charming and comfortable

It was hard to find. The taxi couldn’t even find it. The host gave minimal directions For breakfast the host laid out nice breads and cheese but did not invite us to help ourselves to the other foods available I guess he thought we knew what to do. He basically didn’t speak to us until we paid.

Great central location and a lovely peaceful room. The host is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is plentiful and tasty. The room is spacious and clean with an amazing bed.

Stairs up to the rooms are very steep and narrow which was not a problem for us but could be tricky for elderly people or those with mobility issues.

Our stay in the apartment was excellent. From the day that we made the booking we had great contact with Mr. Apostolou the owner,he really made us feel like home. The location in perfect just few minutes next to the city buzz and one minute away from the metro station, also there are a lot of bars and restaurants in the area to visit. The apartment was super clean and exactly like the photos on booking.com, and there is also great Wi-Fi quality in the place. Last but not least is the breakfast time which is a really nice time to meet the owner and ask about recommendations. we will definitely come back in this brand. see you again
