We have had two great experiences at Citediennes in two different cities and they suit our needs.

The location was fantastic, we were 2 minutes from the Metro, great bars and restaurants, St, Catherine's is my favourite part of Brussels. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had problems with the only card machine available, there should have been a second and there should have been mugs/cups and glasses provided at the coffee point as is the case with Ku'dam Citediennes in Berlin

It was ok.

Location is the best characteristic of the premises. Good breakfast. Coffee and tea available as complimentary service to all the guests, free of charge, throughout the entire days.

Photographs of the accommodation were deceitful, there is no cleaning service for stays less than 7 days. We had to ask for new towels and toilet paper at the front desk as not even that the staff was willing to bring to the room. Despite being good, breakfast was charged at 18€/day/guest.

Great stay!

Great stay, they upgraded us to an apartment (we rented a studio) when we arrived. The apartment is spacious and very well climatized. The hotel is next to a metro station and very close (10/15min) by walking to the city center. We totally recommend.

Convenient and well priced aparthotel

My 5th floor room looked over a lovely and very expansive square with large decorative pools of water and multiple restaurants and bars. Having a kitchenette with a small dishwasher was very handy for self catering with several supermarkets a short walk away.

There was a lot of street and party noise at night if the windows were open but not unexpected given its location.

Location. Walk out the door and you are right in a great spot for dining and we walked to the city center each day. Opening the doors onto the court yard was nice.

Dirty Rooms and Terrible Service

If you don’t want to spoil your vacation, I recommend choosing another hotel. The room was dirty, with visible mold. Bed linen and towels were in such poor condition that they should be thrown away. Housekeeping did not clean the room during the stay. At the reception, the woman working there seemed completely inattentive: while checking me in, she kept talking to other staff, repeatedly forgetting what she had already asked me. Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had

Great location but in need of some updates and modernization

The hotel itself is in a great location, next to a metro station and close to everything by foot. It also features small garden/terrace where you can chill away from the crowds. We loved that the hotel had a water and coffee station, it made our stay much more practical!

The rooms didn’t have any air conditioning or ventilation system, and during a 30–35º week it was very uncomfortable. The beds also had a plastic cover, which made them feel even warmer and not breathable. The hotel itself is in a great location and has a lot of potential, but it definitely needs some updates and modernization. The internet in our room was also quite slow — we only managed to get about 2/4 bars.

good room in a great location

even though we booked the smallest room option, we found it quite spacious for two people. the location of the room is amazing, in a lively area of the city full of small restaurants and bars, next to the entrance of the metro, and near a small supermarket. decently close to walk to the other areas of the city as well. staff was helpful. there's a nice room downstairs where you can relax and drink a cup of coffee or tea. they also offer a luggage storage option for after check-out, which we found quite useful

we were not sure of how thoroughly the room was cleaned, as we found some cutlery with bits of food in the drawer, and other small details. there is a lot of wear and tear in the room, which makes it look even dirtier. the kitchen is furnished with the bare minimum, we wished they would provide, for example, at least some oil, salt and a pan, and something to wipe the kitchen with after cooking. we found the bed and pillows really uncomfortable. the ventilation in the bathroom did not work, which lead to the towels staying damp and smelling unpleasant. the room can be a bit noisy at night, due to the bars downstairs, but keeping the window closed helps

Location!

This review is from adding 1 day to the initial stay. The first room felt like it was in the basement. The flower bed was recently fertilized and reeked. I asked to be moved and placed in a "street level" room. Much better. The room was clean and accommodations were great.

Great Location

We would return to Citadines Saint-Catherine simply for the excellent location. The neighborhood is wonderful and within walking distance of places of interest in the historic center. Covered parking was a big plus for us.

Location was important to me and the stay was okay.

Staff at check-in/check-out was very friendly and it went smoothly. The location was very important to me and that was perfect. For a studio is is not very big, especially if you would stay with 2 people and would like to work there. For me it was just for one night and for one person so that was okay. The bed is very comfortable and the curtains made the room very dark which was nice considering it is summer.

This is an apartment hotel and you have a microwave and limited kitchen equipment which was okay for one night. But: no washing liquid or towel or other equipment to do your dishes, you won't buy those things for just one night. Same for coffee: a traditional filter coffee machine (nearly nobody uses this) which means that for one night you need to buy filters and coffee ... in this type of apartment hotel it is recommended to provide these basic items to guests, at least for the first few days. The bathroom had a bath, no shower. There is a fridge which is practical but no bottle of water which is offered.

We had a nice stay for a good price in a great location.

The location was great and the room had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room wasn't overly clean, the bath mat was stained, for example. We only stayed for two nights, so it wasn't much of a problem, but since the staff was very helpful with other things too, I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem to get a fresh bath mat.

Value for money hotel.

Breakfast was included. Coffee is free flow. Filtered still and sprinkling water is available. Nice backyard.

One of the room is almost in line with ground level, so it means person theoretically can climb into the room. So had to put down the blind all the time. Noise before 12mn is audible as it is right next to walkway. Lift is pretty small. For the price, cannot ask for too much.

Amazing stay in Brussels!

Loved everything about it! Free coffee, cute photo booth in reception and a dishwasher in the large kitchen. Staff were amazing, we'll definitely stay there again without a doubt!

well, it was just ok.

We stayed in two different rooms one week apart. While there were no issues in the first room and we gave it a score of 10, there were problems with the second room and it felt odd. In the second room, the toilet and sink were separate from the shower. So in this tiny room, there was a toilet, while the sink and bathtub were in the bathroom. Every time a toilet was flushed on the upper floors, it sounded like there was a waterfall inside the room. Having a separate living room, a sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchen was a plus. While there was no noise in the first room, the sound of flushing in the second room was particularly disturbing.

Lovely stay in the heart of brussels

The location was superb, right in the heart of brussels. We had christmas market at our door! The room is clean with complete kitchen with utensils, which was a nice touch after traveling for a while and always eating out :) The staff was friendly and nice. It was beautifully located in the walking distance, nice and clean atmosphere. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. I would highly recommend.

There was a confusion about the breakfast entrance - someone put our room down. But it was cleared with the receptionist quiet quickly. Other than that, it was all great! Thank you

Disappointing

I would say the only good think about this accommodation is the location but I wouldn't stay here again just for that.

I was very disappointed with the property upon arrival. I trusted booking.com reviews but the apartment was nothing at all like it had been advertised in the photos. It was not refurbished, the floor was sticky with stains on it (my socks were sticking to the floor), the shower handle was sticky, there were stains on the table and the doors. There was only one fan and there were three of us in the apartment. The other bed was in the lounge so that person did not get any ventilation at all.

We should have moved to a quieter room right away.

Location and cleanliness. Check in was smooth but it took us a minute to find the room.

The hotel’s location is good. Check in was fine except it was a little challenging to find our room at first. Our room was 2203 which is in a different building but it’s a short walk on the same property. We walked past all of the nice rooms that had windows and doors facing the hotel’s nice courtyard but we were put in a building that was still under construction. The elevator’s button panel was hanging with electrical wires hanging out and this part of the hotel was not completed and there was construction floor covering on the floor. Our room faced a loud street with people yelling. This woke us up twice. Once a woman was screaming no so I went to the window to see if she was ok. Nothing serious thankfully. I am not sure if the room was supposed to be cleaned but it wasn’t. The room itself was nice and clean. When we asked the receptionist on the second morning why we were put in this area that was still incomplete and noisy the response was “if you wanted a quiet room you could have asked for one and we can move you now” we didn’t feel like repacking and moving since we had such little time in Brussels. Doesn’t almost everyone who stays in a hotel want a quiet room? We should have asked to move right away. If we return we would be very specific about the building we prefer. At 6am the morning of our last stay we heard cars, doors slamming, etc and couldn’t sleep in.
