Greeted on arrival and given a host of information about the local area. Accommodation was first class and had everything we needed including a massive enclosed dog field.

A wonderfully well thought out small collection of holiday cottages which were perfect for our trip with our pooch. The huge gated garden area was absolutely perfect for the dog and for us to enjoy a summer evening with the bbq! Neil the host was brilliant, giving us lots of useful information and readily available if we had any questions. Great location to numerous Cornwall sites and beautifully well kept cottage with everything you need for your stay.
Everything was perfect.

Lovely location. Handy having a field available to walk the dog. Nicely presented cottage.
Kitchen was quite small. We couldn’t both be in there at the same time. We didn’t realise there were 4 cottages and the main house all sharing the front courtyard. Duvets we’re very hot for the time of year.

Well equipped accommodation large field to the rear.
Recycling building has a low door frame/entrance, took a lump of skin off head
with bleeding. Couldn’t see any sign to warn you to duck/take care when entering the building. Back ache from hard mattress. Tractors on the lane outside drive at some
speed!!

We had an amazing time at Talehay Cottages. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They left some local treats in the cottage and came to welcome us when we arrived. They recommended where to go and what to explore during our stay. The cottage was lovely and very clean. It was fully equipped and the bed was incredibly comfy. We will definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Talehay Cottages. Neil was very welcoming and gave us lots of local information, which was really useful. The location was lovely, and it was quiet and serene.
The facilities in The Lodge were great, and the bed and furniture were comfortable.

Can fault this place. A warm welcome from Neil who gave us lots of information about our stay and places to visit.
The cottage was in a quiet location situated approx 6 miles outside of Looe itself. The property was very clean, well equipped and more than comfortable during our 5 night stay.
We loved the little extras like cream tea on arrival and milk in the fridge. The village Spar catered for all our needs and even the local garage fitted us in straight away when our air con failed in an unexpected April heatwave.
There was nothing we didn't like

We stayed in “the coach” cottage which was gorgeous and clean. Lovely little touches to the cottage like scones, cream and jam when we arrived. Had a greeting straight away from Neil who recommended walks and pubs (which we went to). We got engaged on our trip away, and when we told Neil at the end of our stay, he gave us a bottle of champagne - SUPER HOST!
We also brought our border collie who loved the fenced off field to run around in!
Definitely would recommend Talehay Cottages to anyone looking for a getaway!

Lovely location, just perfect!
Everything you need… lots of thought gone into making the stay perfect! Great for our Schnoodle huxter… he loved running around the massive safe field at back of the Barn property.
Nice touch leaving cream tea! With tea, coffee and milk in the fridge.
So nice to have met Neil and Theresa.
Thank you so much we did enjoy our chilled stay.

The field where we could run our dog was huge, and she loved it. Also setup with benches and firepits for when the weather is a bit better. Really nice area.
Parking very close to the property.
Nice big TV. Large rooms and enclosed porch was great in the wet weather.
We enjoyed the welcome food items. (Inc Scones, Jam and Clotted cream!)
Down to personal preference, but we found the sofa a little uncomfortable and the bed was a little firm.

Hosts are lovely and cottage was in perfect condition. We felt at ease and relaxed and even booked an extra night as we wasn’t ready to go home yet. Perfect time away

Lovey quiet self catering duplex with everything we needed. Host Niel gave us loads of useful info about the special spots to visit nearby, and where and how to park and ride/walk to the small villages

It was homely, comfortable and provided with everything needed for a holiday.
Difficult to find anything I didn’t like, but found the bathroom taps annoying as they took about 6 full turns before any water came out. Hardly important! Water was hot when it arrived!

Bedroom was a bit small particularly when getting round the bedy

Perfect facilities for our dog, the exercise field was excellent as was the garden with benches and deck chairs etc we sat in the sun on 2 afternoons it was lovely, when it rained there were board games to play and a good TV
The sofa was very uncomfortable, no way to relax on a wet afternoon or evening to watch a movie please change it to a more softer snuggly one

We arrived in the agreed timeslot but we were not met on arrival despite being advised that we would be.

The location is lovely and quiet. The field for running/walking dogs is handy but beware of rabbits if dogs are small enough to follow them under hedges.
Bedroom and bathroom are good sizes.
Ground floor of property is very small to include small (but fully equipped) kitchen, lounge and dining table/2 chairs. Too small for 2 people and 2 dogs in our opinion.
The bed is large but we found it very uncomfortable.
Unfortunately the wi-fi wasn't working due to a fallen tree taking out the cable and there is almost no mobile phone signal. This made it difficult to research road closures, weather and ideas for places to visit. Note:The wi-fi was fixed the evening before we left.

Lovely shower room, plenty of space in the shower and good supply of hot water. The outdoor space was excellent and the field for the dog to run around a great bonus. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of cutlery and crockery. The welcome pack was a great treat. The bed was comfortable and so was the sofa.
There was nothing we didn't like but some of the windows need attention. Be careful around the roads as some of the lanes are very narrow.

We stayed in The Lodge which exceeded our expectations. Very well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The location was peaceful but ideal for exploring the local area. The enclosed field was a huge benefit for us as we could let our mad husky have a good run knowing he was safe Neil was a wealth of information giving us tips on where to visit. Polruan passenger ferry over to Fowey being our favourite. The Lodge is one of a few cottages at Talehay in a secure gated area with parking for each cottage.
There is nothing at all not to like.

The cottage was fully equipped for a self-catering stay. Coffee/tea, milk and even scones & jam and clotted cream awaited us on arrival. Very thoughtful hosts. A super base for visiting Cornwall.
Nothing, it was all great.

Lots of small touches that made us feel welcome (Fudge, Milk, scones, flexible arrival/departure times).
The hosts recommended some lovely days out such as Looe town & Lansallos beach.
Was perfect for my dog with an enclosed field on site to let him run freely.

The cottage was adorable, very clean and cosy. There were complimentary scones, cream, jam and milk - which was much appreciated after a long drive. There was also a great range of games, which we enjoyed during the evenings.
It was a perfect base to explore (we ventured to Bodmin, Lost gardens of Heligan as well as the local bays and villages) but it was also a perfect place to rest, and unwind.
