Fairly clean room and washroom

The access to the room was difficult... the metallic staircase outside was the only access we were allowed to use despite having a staircase inside the house... it was heavily raining when we reached there and we had 2 ladies with 2 kids and they all got wet reaching the room since they used the slippery metallic staircase outside and we used it while it was raining during the first day... so it felt bad to me personally since it was never expected and thought we will be asked to use the staircase inside without getting wet with kids, but no, it was a disappointment...

Lovely family run homestay - made very welcome. Rooms have access to a living area, crockery and cutlery and drinking water. Lovely hot shower. Location is very close to Grand hotel, Post Office, Turf Club and Lake Gregory/Victoria Park. It's a short 10 min walk to town. Our hosts were so kind and helped us get to our train when we couldn't get a pick up. Staying in great family run places like this one is not only a great way to experience local life but it puts your tourism dollars into the communities you travel in rather than big hotels.

24 hours after booking, I was not able to cancel. We had no option but to go ahead or fork out the entire amount and have no place to stay for 2 days. It made it difficult for us as we were a family of 8 adults and 3 of us had knee issues. We were overseas travellers so it was worse. It was so difficult to climb up and down the small stairs outside. Taking our luggage up was so difficult Inside the living area was cramped for 8 adults to even sit and relax.
