National park Durmitor

The location is exceptional – right on the edge of the national park. It’s close enough to everything you need, yet still feels private and peaceful, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forest. We arrived by motorcycle and were able to fit all three bikes comfortably in the garage, which was very convenient. The spacious terrace was one of our favorite spots, where we spent a lot of time relaxing. The house is well equipped for preparing meals, offers many sleeping options, and is clean, cozy, and spacious. The forest behind the house is perfect for morning walks and is full of mushrooms and wild berries. Communication with the host was excellent – we felt at ease and welcome to ask for anything we needed.

The house could use a little updating here and there, but we completely understand that the harsh mountain winters naturally leave their mark. That said, these small things never affected our overall satisfaction with the stay.

The houses is located very convenient with easy access to the Black Lake, good to start trails around Durmitor and easy to find. No problem with parking there. There is a breakfast option in SOA hotel which is located in the next building for 12 euro per person. It was warm in the house and the bed sheets and blankets were great.

The house requires technical maintenance. Some problems with cold / hot water in the bathrooms. The stairs are slippery and the upper floor is not easy to get in at all. Our 8 years son fell down but was lucky and didn't get hurt. So, we think it definitely needs some anti-slip finish or a self-stick bend there. WiFi was not always perfect.
