Everything perfect

Good location out of the city centre and easily accessible by bus (15 mins) so no problem looking for a parking. The staff was really nice. The breakfast was big and good, with a variety of options. The room was clean and beautiful. The bed was comfortable. There was a good atmosphere in the accommodation.

Hidden gem close to city center

Haus am Moos is an absolute oasis just outside Salzburg. The property is beautifully maintained, with a breathtaking mountain backdrop. The room was spotless and cozy. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, offering helpful tips and making us feel right at home. Breakfast was exceptional, with lovely selection to start the day. The location is ideal: quiet and scenic, yet only a short drive from the city center.

Our stay was perfect

Gudrun, Walter, Thomas and Timmy (The dog), they are all so friendly, helpful and accomodating. In this hotel you will feel like you're really home. Our room is very exceptional, very clean and comfortable. We also have for everyday fresh towels. They also serve best breakfast every singel day.

Wonderful home away from home!

The place has great access to public transportation- near many attractions but not in the middle of it. You come home to a quiet garden setting at the foot of the mountains. Very clean!!! The owners are very nice couple. We enjoyed our stay- we highly recommend it!

Friendly place in rural surroundings with easy access to city

Cheerful polite greeting when I arrived. I liked the historic style decor and the lovely comfortable bed, in a spacious room. There is a communal area with a kettle and microwave so you can make basic meals and drinks. I really liked the location away from the busy city centre but easily accessible by bus. And the hosts were full of interesting conversation during breakfast. The breakfast was delicious too! I will recommend Haus am Moos to relatives who are visiting later in the year

I was a bit worried that the sound of the nearby motorway would keep me awake, as I like to keep the window open at night- but actually it faded into the background and quietened down at night. Closing the window blocked the sound totally.

A great location for touring and visiting Salzburg. Friendly and very welcoming staff

We had an excellent 4 day stay at Haus am Moos which we had chosen because of it's location and cost. Walter and his son Thomas were very friendy and welcoming and the location perfect for our needs of touring the local area. We were pleasantly suprised to be given free bus passes for our stay and used them to travel to Salzburg where parking can be difficult. Bus stops were within 2 minutes of the house. Only 12 minutes from the airport meant that it was in an ideal location for touring and getting back to the airport for flights. We managed Hallstaad, The High Alpine pass, Berchtesgaden and two days in Salzburg which was enough to see the main sites. The breakfast spread was always lovely and fresh. We would recommend a stay here if wanting to visit Salzburg

Comfort and tranquility in a nicely decorated house

Cozy room in a beautifully decorated house. Breakfast was delicious. The city center is 20 minutes away by bus. The bus stop is nearby. The staff is really helpful!

There isn’t anything to do in a walking distance and no stores or supermarkets nearby. Because of that, a fridge and a kettle would be nice additions to the room.

Fun property to stay at when visiting Salzburg

Great hosts who offered local insights and deals. Very clean and neat. Comfortable mattresses. In family apartment with kitchenette but the breakfast provided was excellent so didn’t use rooms kitchen much. Excellent value. Free parking.

As advertised the property is in the Salzburg suburbs. So getting into the old city required driving and parking which was a bit pricey for all day. Also used the city bus and uber. City bus is great until 9 pm but the runs less often.

Glorious

Everyone there was lovely and so helpful. We were given a recommendation for dinner when we arrived and it was fantastic. The cute dog that was always around was a sweet surprise. The breakfast was amazing... so much better than we expected.

I wish it had been longer!

Taken overall the quality and features of Am Moos deserve a 5 star rating. From the friendly approach of the owner through the excellent breakfast, parking facility, cleanliness, and location all exceeded our expectation. A couple of hundred meters up the road is a stunningly good restaurant, within a couple of km a good supermarket, and a bus stop within sight of the front door to catch a #21 straight into Saltzburg Town centre for 2.50 E. A very nice touch was the unadvertised shared kitchenette with fridge and microwave for own snacks and coffee.

Lovely property in a great location.

The location, the breakfast - vegans very well catered for, the staff were lovely, the room was lovely, proximity to bus stop was very handy for getting into the city.

From the moment I stepped in, I felt welcome. The hosts are very helpful and relaxed people. The location is about 20 minutes by bus from the centre but you'll stay at the foot hill of Untersberg mountain anyway everything is reachable. I'll be back.

I have been going to Austria/Germany for 50 years,and this is THE BEST.

This is the BEST hotel I have stayed in,in both Austria and Germany..the hosts were fantastic and have a wonderful place to offer...the breakfast was exceptional,in fact the best I have ever had,with fresh and varied produce...the room was fantastic with all expected facilities...the hotel is in a beautiful location...the hosts in my opinion do not charge enough for their property which is just wonderful...give it a try,you will absolutely not be disappointed.
