I booked this place as an expedient – I needed a place to break a trip from the mountains to airport – but it ended up being one of the best and nicest places I’ve ever stayed. What started as a necessity became an experience, one that I greatly enjoyed and can wholeheartedly recommend.
Despite booking with literally only a few hours notice at night in mid-winter, my host was organised and welcoming upon my arrival, proving me with a lovely and well-appointed room. The owner’s careful design and attention to detail was evident, with thoughtful features (e.g. lots of hooks!) throughout. The fridge was incredibly well-stocked, and there was a full coffee-making facility (with electric moka pot, very cool) and in-room cereal and fruit. The décor was charming and whimsical without being kitch. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything in the bathroom worked well (not always a given in older places). Soundproofing was good. WiFi was strong and reliable. In-room heating was effective (and given there’s a big AC unit, I presume in summer cooling would be equally so). Breakfast (served in-room during winter) was great – fresh, healthy and lots of it!
The location itself is fantastic, right in the heart of the historic old town – wandering the nearby streets at night is magical (though, due to local zoning, this does mean that parking is about 200m away up a slight incline, which personally for me was no issue but may be a consideration for some). The owner was very helpful in all regards and I really can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’d gladly stay here again. Sometimes the best experiences are unexpected.
As mentioned, due to local zoning (ZTL), parking is about 200m away (local undercover carpark) up a slight incline, which personally for me was no issue but may be a consideration for some. You will need to unload the car at the top of the slight incline (OK, small hill) and roll/carry it down, then later walk it all back up. Get those steps in!

The property was in an excellent location, whilst not in the centre of town it was only a short walk to the lakeside and its many bars and cafes.
Couldnt fault this property at all.

The host was very understanding when we decided to leave early due to the room not meeting our requirements - she was very friendly and assisted with processing a partial refund once the rooms booked again.
No air conditioning.
Very noisy in the morning from very early - bin lorry & scooters passing right outside the window.
